A man on the left wears an orange-red ceremonial garment, a white flower garland around his neck and a small crown-like headpiece, with a light tilak on his forehead; his hands are extended and held by another man. Beside him, a shaved-headed priest in white dhoti and shawl, bare-chested, stands in the centre, and a third man in white dhoti and an orange cloth stands at right. A lit oil lamp glows in the background, and gold ritual objects are visible at the lower edge.2012-05-29A photograph of a ritual initiation in a temple hall with pillars and colourful hanging decorations. Another saffron-robed monk stands at right with a mala, and a figure in white with shaved head stands at left with hands joined. To his right, a young boy in white dhoti with gold border stands beside him, and an older man in white clothing stands behind. Behind them is a blue cloth draped over a tray with offerings and a decorated pillar. Fits the Madurai satsang and darshan context of the page.2012-06-06Photo 11730699 +1 copiesA photograph of an indoor temple-style hall with arched doorways and cream walls. A bare-chested man with long dark swept-back hair and a white-and-red garland stands at center, wearing an orange-red wrap and a rudraksha-style necklace, while another man in a white shirt and glasses presses his palms together and reaches toward him. A man in white ritual clothing stands to the left holding flowers, and a few other devotees in white garments stand behind. Swamiji (probable): the bare-chested figure with long swept-back hair, orange wrap and garlands fits the appearance cues, and the page places Swamiji at this event.2012-05-23May 31 20122012-05-31 +1 copies
