Low-angle photo looking up at a tall, dark reddish-brown wooden pole wrapped with bands of braided orange rope and a black band, rising against a partly cloudy blue sky. Two long red-orange ropes run from the top of the pole down past the frame. Scattered small objects, possibly flower petals or fluttering pieces, drift in the air around the pole. At the lower right, palm fronds of a coconut palm frame the scene. No people are visible in the frame; the pole appears to be a dwajasthambha-style flagstaff raised for a flag-hoisting ritual.
