Many devotees in white and pastel clothing, several with hair in braids and flowers, sit on the floor with their backs to the camera. At the far end, a raised stone shrine with ornate pillars holds a large decorated deity murti garlanded in red and orange flowers. A person in orange robes sits in front of the shrine beside a camera on a tripod. Decorative woven banners with bird motifs hang from the roof edges.2010-10-30Devotees sit cross-legged on mats in an open-sided pavilion under a corrugated roof, facing a shrine. Most wear white or pale clothing; women in saris of green, red, pink and maroon are among them, and some have white shawls over their heads. At the shrine, a stone-framed niche holds a richly decorated deity murti with gold and red drapery and a gold kalasha-like ornament at the top. In front is a framed portrait of a seated figure in saffron-orange robes on a small altar with brass lamps and offerings. Red curtains hang around the shrine, and a metal railing separates the seated crowd from the shrine area. This appears to be a puja or darshan gathering.2010-06-06January 17 20102010-01-17Devotees stand in a covered open-air temple hall with an orange-painted wall while palms are pressed together in prayer. In the centre, a figure in an orange robe faces the shrine with raised arms, near a railing. To the left, a richly decorated deity murti in red and gold stands within an ornate stone shrine. Women in white saris and men in white shirts fill the foreground, with a framed photo and banner on the right wall. Pale-coloured garments and an orange-and-gold ceremonial canopy are visible nearby.2010-07-21Night-time photograph of a crowd of devotees gathered before a small shrine with a red-and-gold temple gateway. A richly decorated deity murti stands at the centre, draped in red and adorned with garlands and gold ornaments, with brass lamps flanking the entrance. Red cloth hangs from the pillars. Men in white shirts and dhotis, women in saris and salwar-style dress, and a figure in saffron clothing stand close together with hands folded in prayer, some with palms pressed together and others looking toward the shrine. No clearly identifiable a person is visible; the scene reads as a darshan or puja at a temple shrine.2010-11-12A dim temple interior with a crowd of devotees pressing toward a shrine. A grey stone shrine with carved pillars and a golden arch frames a deity murti dressed in red and adorned with marigold garlands, with lit oil lamps on golden stands beside it. Red cloth drapes hang on either side. Above, a painted panel shows deities and a pair of bulls. Men in white shirts and dhotis, women in saris and salwar kameez, and a girl with a braided plait stand in the foreground with hands folded in prayer. Some people in the foreground have their backs to the camera.2010-11-12November 05 20072007-11-05A photograph inside a covered temple pavilion with a corrugated metal roof and orange-painted walls. In the background, a shrine holds an ornate golden deity murti framed by red and gold drapery, with a figure in orange clothing seated before it. In the foreground, a row of devotees sits cross-legged on the floor in white dhotis and shawls, some with orange garments, several holding small lamps. Two stainless steel railings and a red carpet run down the right side. Wall-mounted framed photographs and a banner line the walls, and a hanging red-and-blue striped cloth is visible on a pillar. This appears to be a puja or satsang with seated devotees before a deity shrine.2010-11-02
