November 06 20082008-11-06A photo of a large, bare-walled industrial-style kitchen hall with a corrugated metal roof, steel roof trusses and a red-painted concrete floor. Several people in saffron and orange robes walk between stainless steel cooking pots, tables and pans. One figure in orange draped cloth walks in the centre, another in white dhoti and white shirt with an orange shawl walks beside them, and a third in orange robes walks on the right. A person in blue sits cross-legged at left near a pot, another crouches in white at lower centre, and a figure sits at a far doorway. Against the back wall stand framed portraits and small deity images on a white-covered table with a lamp, and a blue water tank sits on a raised platform. The scene reads as a communal food preparation area.2008-11-06November 06 20082008-11-06November 06 20082008-11-06November 06 20082008-11-06A large industrial-style kitchen under a corrugated metal roof with exposed steel trusses and fluorescent tube lights. Stainless steel vats and large pots with red lids sit on the left, including motorised mixing or grinding units with red bases. Several people in casual clothing move about the work area: one standing near a central steel prep counter wears a red top and orange cloth, another in a yellow top works at the left, and others in white and orange clothing stand near shelves and tables. Metal prep tables hold vegetables, plastic baskets and a large pot of chopped produce. The red-tiled floor is scattered with debris and sacks of produce.2010-02-12A kitchen interior with a red-tinted floor and a metal roof framework above. A figure in an orange-yellow wrap stands at left, holding a large steel vessel, with a steel pot and cooking pots on a counter behind. A second person in white crouches near a low stool at centre, and a blue-and-red gas cylinder sits in the foreground. Bright, overexposed lighting washes out much of the scene. The figure in orange is a cook or devotee; no clear a person cues are visible.2008-11-06December 30 20092009-12-30Interior of a plain, unfinished kitchen or utility room with a corrugated metal roof, bare grey concrete walls and a concrete floor. A woman in an orange and brown patterned sari walks through the centre of the room. Another woman in a white garment leans over a counter at the right, working near steel vessels. Through an open yellow door on the left, several people in white clothing are visible in a doorway. Shelves hold stainless steel pots, a white refrigerator and a gas cylinder stands against the wall. Two framed portraits in blue frames lean against the wall at the lower right, one showing a figure seated on a lotus-like pink and white seat. A small framed plaque hangs above the doorway.2009-07-14A photograph of a utilitarian kitchen with white walls, a barred window and a red-brown door. A woman in a blue and white sari with an orange shawl leans over a stove, stirring or ladling from a brass pot. Behind her, a person in white clothes stands with hands on hips near a steel shelf of pots. Large steel cooking pots, covered steel trays, milk churns and red gas cylinders fill the floor, with a pot of orange-brown curry in the foreground. A man in white stands at the left edge.2007-02-15Photo 82890482006-01-01 +2 copiesOctober 13 20142014-10-13
