A photo of a large, bare-walled industrial-style kitchen hall with a corrugated metal roof, steel roof trusses and a red-painted concrete floor. Several people in saffron and orange robes walk between stainless steel cooking pots, tables and pans. One figure in orange draped cloth walks in the centre, another in white dhoti and white shirt with an orange shawl walks beside them, and a third in orange robes walks on the right. A person in blue sits cross-legged at left near a pot, another crouches in white at lower centre, and a figure sits at a far doorway. Against the back wall stand framed portraits and small deity images on a white-covered table with a lamp, and a blue water tank sits on a raised platform. The scene reads as a communal food preparation area.

A busy indoor kitchen in a metal-roofed shed where volunteers prepare free meals in bulk. A woman on the left wears a yellow and red patterned sari with a white hairnet and stands beside sacks of produce. A man in an orange lungi and red top bends over a large steel pot, stirring with a ladle. Other workers in maroon, white and green shirts move around a steel cooking range. Baskets of sliced carrots, metal pails, stacked cardboard boxes and sacks of grain fill the foreground.

A plain kitchen with pale blue walls and a reddish-brown door. Several women in white saris with orange borders work around large stainless steel vessels and pots on the floor and counters. One woman in a turquoise shawl and orange blouse bends over a pot, another in an orange-bordered sari stoops over a large vessel, and others stand nearby by a refrigerator and shelves. Metal plates, steel buckets, a red basket and a red gas cylinder are visible. Two small framed pictures hang on the back wall, and a notice is pinned beside the door. The scene suggests food preparation for a community meal.

A photograph of a utilitarian kitchen with white walls, a barred window and a red-brown door. A woman in a blue and white sari with an orange shawl leans over a stove, stirring or ladling from a brass pot. Behind her, a person in white clothes stands with hands on hips near a steel shelf of pots. Large steel cooking pots, covered steel trays, milk churns and red gas cylinders fill the floor, with a pot of orange-brown curry in the foreground. A man in white stands at the left edge.

A photograph of a busy ashram kitchen with a red-tiled floor and white walls. On the left, a woman in a white dhoti-style garment and a rudraksha mala stirs a large aluminium pot of orange curry with a long steel ladle, a green cloth draped over her shoulder. On the right, a man with curly dark hair in a white kurta and white dhoti with an orange shawl stirs a wok of noodles or rice on a gas burner. Steel pots and pans sit on a stove and a counter, and a plastic bag hangs at the left edge. A colourful poster is pinned high on the wall above the cooking area.

A busy kitchen with orange-painted walls where cooking is underway. A bare-chested man with a red cloth over his shoulder and a tan dhoti stirs a wok on a gas burner. Another man in a white shirt and blue shorts works at a side counter. Large aluminium and brass vessels with lids sit on the tiled floor, along with bowls, banana leaves, plastic packets of grains and dal, and a steel pot of steaming food. Gas cylinders and stoves line the back wall.

A kitchen scene of several women in matching saffron-orange sarees with golden borders and rudraksha malas serving food. Large steel pots and trays hold a yellow grain dish. One woman bends over a pot stirring with a ladle, another crouches to scoop from a tray, and a grey-haired woman in the foreground works at a bowl. Others stand behind with bangles and beaded necklaces, with a patterned rug and orange tiled floor visible.
