A photograph of a bare-backed priest seen from behind, wearing a red and white rudraksha-style red bead mala and a saffron-coloured cloth, pouring liquid from a small vessel over a shivalinga. The shivalinga is draped in red and gold silk cloth and encircled with yellow marigold and red rose garlands, with a silver-toned decorated lingam top. Behind it stands a painted deity figure with folded hands, garlanded with white and red flowers, next to a brass kalasha and brass lamps. The setting is a shrine with ornate silver-toned metalwork, red and teal painted panels, and a canopy overhead. This appears to be an abhishekam or puja to a shivalinga.2015-07-16July 16 20152015-07-16June 30 20142014-06-30December 31 20182018-12-31 +2 copiesJune 30 20142014-06-30 +1 copiesJune 19 20142014-06-19 +1 copiesFebruary 17 20152015-02-17 +1 copiesA photograph of a ritual abhishekam at a shrine. A person seated on the left, wearing a deep red-brown dhoti with gold border, bare-armed with gold and red bangles and a dark rudraksha-style beaded necklace, pours liquid from a silver vessel with a spout over a clear crystal spatika linga. The linga sits on a base draped in white and pink-red flowers and garlands. Behind it stands a deity murti in white and gold garments with a gold-and-white garland, against a yellow silk cloth. A silver lamp with a lit wick stands at right, and a silver pot sits at lower left near a second attendant in orange clothing. Several people are partially visible; the seated officiant is the central figure.2014-06-30A seated man in an orange-red dhoti and shawl with gold border pours liquid from a silver vessel with a long spout over a clear crystal spatika linga on a yellow-draped altar. He wears layered rudraksha malas, gold armlets and bangles, and a white forehead mark. The linga is surrounded by white jasmine garlands and pink and red flowers, with a deity murti behind him in gold and white garments and a silver oil lamp at right. This is a rudrabhishekam ritual at a temple shrine.2014-06-30June 29 20142014-06-29 +1 copiesFebruary 17 20152015-02-17 +1 copiesFebruary 19 20152015-02-19 +1 copies
