The front man, in the centre, wears a deep orange wrap, an ornate gold-toned sash, a long orange-and-white bead necklace and a red tilak on his forehead; his arms are bare with gold armbands, and he gestures lightly with one hand. Behind him a younger man holds a bowl or offering in front of him, and two more men follow in orange cloth with red-trimmed borders. To the right, a dark stone deity murti stands beside a mound heaped with red flowers and a blue cloth hangs from a tree branch. The setting is an outdoor shrine grounds with a bench and red-cloth altar.2013-05-18Photo 11725245 +1 copiesJanuary 03 20162016-01-03May 27 20132013-05-27July 14 20132013-07-14 +1 copiesA photograph of a ceremonial padapuja-style gathering inside a decorated tent hall. In the foreground a woman with long dark hair, wearing an orange-red sari with a gold border, a pink and white flower garland and gold jewellery, smiles while holding a silver plate of flowers. Beside her a shaved-headed man in orange-red robes and a rudraksha mala stands holding a plate. Seated on the carpeted dais at right, another shaved-headed man in orange robes holds a golden kalasha with a green cloth. Behind them rows of seated devotees in orange robes sit before an ornate gold throne and a gold-and-tiger-motif seat, with large flower arrangements of marigold and orchids at right and rows of onlookers in the background.2013-04-21 +1 copiesMay 05 20122012-05-05A photograph of a seated man on a red and gold throne-style chair, wearing a red turban with gold trim, a red-and-gold silk garment, layered gold necklaces and gold armbands, holding a clear bowl or plate and looking down at it. Three young boys in saffron-orange clothes stand or sit beside him; the boy in front wears white and tripundra markings on the forehead, rudraksha-style beads and a saffron wrap, and holds a plastic water bottle. Potted banana plants and a dark night setting are behind them. The man has distinctive ornate adornments and a red turban consistent with a person in a ceremonial seat, but identity is uncertain from appearance.2013-11-20A seated man in a rust-red dhoti and wrap with gold border sits cross-legged on sand, pouring liquid from a small silver cup through a spoon or ladle. He wears a thick rudraksha mala across his chest and rudraksha bracelets on his wrists. Beside him, flower petals and fruit lie on the sand and a metal plate holds marigold petals. Other participants in white dhotis with gold borders sit nearby, and one has white ash markings on the arm. The scene suggests an outdoor ritual abhishekam or puja, but no specific event is confirmed.2018-04-28October 03 20132013-10-03
