Outdoor evening ritual in front of a red brick wall with yellow sunflowers behind it. The altar holds a deity murti, garlands, and coconuts with green leaves and beaded adornments. A shaved-headed young devotee in orange-red robes sits at left with hands pressed together in prayer, and another partially visible person sits at far right. Warm lamp light illuminates the scene.2014-05-04Evening outdoor ritual on a lawn in front of a red brick wall lit by two lamps. A standing priest in orange-red dhoti and draped cloth, with a wrapped head covering and folded hands, faces a small fire in a brick fire pit, with brass vessels and trays of offerings nearby. Behind him a tall orange-draped altar holds a decorated deity murti garlanded with marigold-like flowers and yellow blossoms. Seated devotees in white and saffron clothing face the fire with hands joined, some in front of a young boy in orange, and a older grey-haired person in a dark top sits at the lower edge; roughly two dozen people are visible. This appears to be a homa or puja. The a person figure is an appearance-based candidate only and is uncertain.2014-05-04Evening outdoor photo at a brick wall with yellow sunflowers and a warm wall lamp. A man in rust-orange robes with a matching orange turban and gold armbands waves a lit oil lamp over a decorated altar table. The altar holds a deity murti with an arched crown-like halo, garlands, green leaves, coconuts and gold-toned ornaments on an orange cloth. An elderly woman with white hair in a white top sits at the right edge. The man's appearance has some saffron-toned cues but is not distinctive enough to confirm a person, so role is described as a ritual officiant performing aarti.2014-05-04May 20 20142014-05-20December 10 20072007-12-10December 09 20132013-12-09Photograph of a ritual inside a decorated tent. A man in a red-orange dhoti and shawl, with a gold waist belt, a long gold-and-beaded necklace and gold armbands, stands with palms pressed together in prayer beside a fire pit with a bright flame in the foreground. Behind him, women in white saris stand near brass oil lamps and a garlanded white floral arch. On the right, a deity murti is adorned with flower garlands, a blue and gold cloth and a decorative crown, set on a striped cloth-draped platform beside gold ornamental metalwork. A red cloth covers a table with brass lamps. The setting suggests a homa or puja with flowers and fire offerings.2016-05-24December 09 20132013-12-09A photograph of a temple ritual in a decorated tent.
