January 06 20142014-01-06A flat-screen display in a hall shows a photograph captioned "Los Angeles Arunachala" with a small label "LA-Arunachala" below. The pictured group of about 20 people sits on red mats and cushions in front of a shrine draped with orange cloth, marigold and rose garlands, and a framed portrait garlanded in flowers. Attendees wear white, saffron-orange, pink and teal clothing, and some sit cross-legged in meditation posture. A portrait on the altar is a depiction, not a physical person. The screen itself is photographed, so the physical people in the scene are only the blurred attendees seen on the display.2013-04-07A photograph of a screen showing a video frame with a white banner reading "LOS ANGELES ARUNACHALA" across the top.
