A person in orange robes, wearing a gold bangle, holds a white conch or shell over a brass plate holding a yellow flower, green leaf and small brass items. Another brass plate with a brass lamp or ritual vessel sits beside it, with a small bowl of white grains and brass cups nearby. A folded brown cloth lies at the bottom edge.2017-01-11Close photograph of a ritual offering on an orange cloth. A hand with a bangle and bracelet reaches toward a polished silver thali holding shredded white and pale green offering material, two small metal lingams or shiva-linga-like objects, and a drizzle of liquid. A lit oil lamp with a flame sits in the foreground at right, a lit incense stick rises in a stand at right, and a green leafy sprig and white flower petals lie at the edges. The scene suggests a puja or abhishekam preparation. No face of any person is visible.2011-09-04 +1 copies
