July 28 20082008-07-28A group walks through a long, dim temple corridor lined with tall carved stone pillars with red-painted bases. In the centre, a man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl walks beside another in similar orange robes and a headdress, with devotees in white around them. A uniformed police officer in khaki stands among the group, and a bare-chested man in a white dhoti walks at the front.2012-05-21A photograph inside a stone temple hall with polished marble-like floors and carved granite pillars. In the centre, a man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala necklace walks forward, with a similar orange-robed figure beside and ahead of him. On the right, a bare-chested man in white dhoti with gold border and a white sacred thread shoulder cloth, with white tilak marks on his forehead, walks past. Behind them, several people in white dhotis and shirts stand near the entrance under arches and scaffolding. A red box is mounted on a pillar at right. The orange-robed central figure has long hair and ornate clothing, so the in-person candidate is a probable Swamiji by appearance cues.2012-05-13A photograph inside a stone temple corridor with tall carved granite pillars and a scaffolded section on the left. A bare-chested man in a white dhoti with gold border, a gold necklace and a red cloth in his hand walks at the front, with a small red tilak on his forehead. Behind him a line of people follows, including a man in a teal shirt, women in red and maroon saris wearing garlands, and a uniformed police officer in khaki on the right. In the centre, a man in orange robes holds a tall silver trident (trishul) upright. Beside him, a woman in a dark patterned sari walks alongside a figure in a red-orange robe with a rudraksha mala and a gold necklace. Behind them, devotees in orange and saffron robes, a bare-chested man with a white shawl and white mundu, and attendants in yellow shawls and white dhotis follow. A drum is visible among the attendants on the left. The setting is a temple hall with barred windows overhead.2009-07-13July 13 20092009-07-13A photograph of a crowded temple corridor with tall stone pillars and a tiled floor. In the foreground a bald man in orange robes carries a yellow and white flower garland, and a uniformed police officer in a khaki cap and shirt walks ahead, gesturing to clear the way. Behind them a woman in an orange sari with dark hair and a rudraksha-style bead necklace walks beside a man in a white shirt and dhoti. Further back, devotees in orange and white clothing carry a basket and flowers through the passage toward a bright doorway. A man on the right in white dhoti and shirt stands near the pillars.2012-01-07A night procession moves through a temple corridor with bright lights and a crowd behind. In the centre, a bare-chested man with his upper body uncovered wears a white dhoti with a blue-and-green striped cloth at the waist and a shawl-like wrap tied at the chest. Beside him, a man in a saffron-orange robe wears a white flower garland and a gold pendant, and carries a shawl draped over one shoulder. Other saffron-robed men with rudraksha malas and shaved heads walk nearby. On the right, a man in white with a yellow-bordered cloth and a rudraksha mala carries a long staff. Several shirted people and bystanders fill the background, with a yellow-lit deity murti area visible at the back.2012-05-07A night procession moves through a stone-pillared temple corridor, lit by hanging lamps, with a bright shrine entrance ahead and stalls with colourful goods at right. In the foreground, a man in white dhoti and shawl with gold border, wearing a rudraksha mala and a gold pendant, walks forward holding a small torch. Behind him, several men in saffron-orange robes with gold-bead malas and pendants walk in a line, one with a tall crown-like headpiece, and others in white dhoti with gold borders. Onlookers stand along the side. The scene shows ordinary temple ritual movement rather than a clearly identified individual.2012-05-07A photograph of a crowd walking through a stone-walled temple corridor at night, lit by hanging lamps. At centre, a man in a rust-orange dhoti and shawl with a gold-coloured ceremonial necklace and a gold crown walks barefoot. Around him, men in saffron and orange robes and white dhotis with yellow borders walk in procession, some wearing rudraksha malas. Men in plain white shirts and yellow-striped shirts stand along the sides. The centre figure shows distinctive ceremonial cues (crown, gold necklace, orange garments), so the appearance-based label applies only as a probable candidate, and the image is a photo of people in a procession.2012-05-07
