Low-angle photo of a tall copper flagstaff with ornate carved wooden base topped by a decorative finial, rising against a partly cloudy blue sky with palm fronds at the edges. Two monks in orange-red robes pull an orange rope to raise or secure the flag at the top of the staff. A videographer with a camera on a rig is at the lower left, and a wooden canopy edge is visible at the upper left. This appears to be a dhwajarohanam flag-hoisting ceremony.2010-10-18October 18 20102010-10-18 +1 copiesLow-angle photograph of a tall copper flagstaff, ringed with bands and topped by an ornate finial, rising against a partly cloudy blue sky. A man in saffron-orange robes holds an orange rope attached to the flagstaff, wearing a gold bead necklace, with his head tilted down. At the right edge, a second person in orange robes stands partly cropped. A carved wooden pillar with figures and a metal roof edge appear at the left. This appears to be a flag-hoisting ritual, consistent with the dwajarohanam label.2010-10-18 +1 copiesLow-angle photo of a tall copper dhwajasthamba (flagstaff) with a carved base wrapped in marigold garlands, topped by a small red flag and a carved finial. Beside it stands a young man in saffron-orange robes with a dark rudraksha mala around his neck and a red tilak on his forehead, holding a rope and tying it while palm trees and sunlight fill the background. The scene suggests a flag hoisting ritual.2011-03-05November 06 20102010-11-06December 14 20162016-12-14November 06 20102010-11-06Low-angle photo of a tall copper ceremonial flagstaff, its ringed shaft rising against an overcast sky, its base wrapped in yellow marigold garlands and carved with a small seated deity figure.
