A photograph of a seated man with long dark hair and a red bindi on his forehead, wearing a white dhoti-style garment and a long yellow marigold garland, with a brown rudraksha mala around his neck. He sits on an orange-red cushioned throne before an ornate white and gold decorated backdrop with pink and green accents. On his left, a man in a white shirt holds a folded paper near the seated figure's chest, while a woman in a white sari with gold border stands on the right, her hand also near his chest. Floral garlands decorate the backdrop corners.2006-12-17July 20 20122012-07-20A photograph of a smiling man with long, swept-back dark hair and a red bindi on his forehead, seated on an ornate gilded golden throne with a deep red velvet backdrop. He wears a cream-white embroidered kurta and a garland of white flowers with red, pink, green and blue blossoms draped around his neck. A man in white clothing is partially visible at the left edge of the frame. Visible cues include long hair, a throne and garland, but no clear identification is possible, so the figure is described by role as a seated honoured guest.2007-12-23December 16 20122012-12-16A close photograph of two men in an indoor hall with draped white curtains behind them. On the left, an older man with grey hair and a white shirt bends his head forward, eyes closed, while a younger man with short dark hair and a warm smile in an ornate gold-embroidered garment holds his head with one hand and his hands together near the older man's face. A woman with a red bindi stands behind them, and a red cloth is visible at the lower right. The lighting is warm and the scene suggests a blessing or greeting.2009-08-16A seated man in an orange-red long-sleeved top and rust-brown cloth, with white sacred ash marks on his forehead and long dark hair tied back, places his right hand on the crown of a young man's head in a blessing gesture. The young man wears a red-and-white checked shirt, kneels with his palms pressed together, and has his eyes closed. Gold ornamental figures. The blessing appears to be a Nayana Deeksha-style initiation. Two people are physically visible, with a partially visible figure at the right edge. The visible man matches the Swamiji (probable) cues of long swept-back hair, saffron-orange clothing and sacred ash, and is giving blessing to a devotee.2014-01-06A seated man in an orange-saffron dhoti-style wrap and heavy gold necklaces, with a black turban-style hairstyle and a red-and-white bindi on his forehead, places his right hand on the head of a kneeling man in a striped white shirt. Behind them stands a gilded throne with leopard-print cushions, and a gold deity murti and an orange-yellow ceremonial flag are visible. Two women in cream and gold saris stand nearby, one holding a small tray, while the kneeling man's hands are pressed together at chest level. The red carpet and gold ornaments suggest a darshan blessing or deeksha initiation setting.2016-06-19A photograph of a seated man in an orange-red dhoti-style wrap with a long gold-bead necklace and a yellow tilak on his forehead, extending his right hand to touch the forehead of a smiling young boy in a white kurta with a red-orange shawl. A bald, shaved-headed man in an orange shawl sits in the foreground, and a gold ritual vessel is visible at the left edge. The seated man has long swept-back hair and ornate gold necklaces, matching the page's Swamiji (probable) appearance cues, so this is an in-person blessing scene in an ashram setting with a gold-toned backdrop and green plants.2014-08-02A photograph of a man with hair tied in a bun, wearing a saffron-orange garment with ornate gold trim and a rudraksha mala, leaning forward and placing his hand on the head of a smiling man in a blue-and-white striped shirt who raises both arms overhead. The bun-haired man rests his other hand on a large gold-coloured vessel with a figural spout. Beside them a person in white with a rudraksha mala and red bindi sits and watches. Behind them a man in a white dhoti and shirt stands with a lanyard, a woman in white with an orange shawl stands near a red curtain, and a bald man in an orange top stands at the right edge. The setting is an indoor room with a pedestal fan and a framed picture on the wall.2013-09-29December 15 20062006-12-15A seated figure with a shaved head? No: a figure with long dark hair wearing a rudraksha-style beaded necklace, a gold bangle and a maroon-and-gold draped garment places one raised hand on the forehead of a man in a white kurta with an orange-red shawl. The recipient stands with palms together at his waist while the officiant holds a folded paper in the other hand. Behind them stand women in white and orange clothing and gold-embroidered draperies, with a golden ornamental panel at left. The scene appears to be a blessing or darshan ritual inside a temple setting.2015-10-24Photograph at night of two men greeting closely, holding hands. The man on the left wears a white embroidered silk kurta with gold-brown trim, a gold chain, and a large garland of white, yellow and red flowers with green leaves and two green coconuts. The man on the right wears white kurta with a rudraksha mala, and an orange-red shawl draped over his shoulder, smiling. A third person stands partly visible in the background. Dark background.2013-09-15
