Water sprays from a pipe near the linga. A man with long, swept-back dark hair wears a red-orange shawl, a gold-coloured necklace and a garland, standing among devotees on the steps. Nearby, saffron-robed sannyasis and men in white dhotis carry a large drum and long curved brass horns, the horn players in orange and white. Behind them, a crowd in white and colourful clothes fills the tiered stone seating along the tank wall. A bald man in a saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha mala walks beside the procession. The scene looks like a ritual abhishekam or procession at the tank.2016-01-03July 31 20152015-07-31April 25 20132013-04-25March 24 20142014-03-24A photograph of a riverside ritual at a Dasara celebration. A long-haired person in a saffron-orange wrap stands at the water's edge, leaning forward and holding a brass vessel with a red garland draped over it. Beside him, a shaved-headed man in an orange-and-red patterned kurta holds a woven basket with green leaves, and men in white dhotis carry similar baskets along the bank. A crowd watches from a red-painted embankment with railings, and green trees and a stone wall stand across the water. The image is watermarked-free in description; the setting appears to be an outdoor water ritual during festival celebrations.2010-10-17December 12 20162016-12-12October 11 20162016-10-11
