Outdoor ghat-side scene beside green water and stone steps. Red-and-gold cloth-draped structure holds a large red basket heaped with yellow marigold garlands and loose red and white petals. Several people pour petals from woven wicker baskets into the water and onto the offering. A woman in a white sari with a red-bordered blouse stands at the steps; a man in a pink shirt with a red thread on his wrist scatters flowers. Metal handrail rises from the water.2015-07-31A photograph of a river ghat with a green water channel and red-and-white stone steps. In the foreground, heaps of marigolds, chrysanthemums and rose petals in yellow, orange, red and white cover a stone platform beside a silver metal railing and a wooden plank. A red-and-gold cloth is draped over an object at left, and a woven basket sits at center. At the top of the steps, two people in red and white clothing stand near a figure in white with a red garment, and a person in a red shawl and white garment is partly visible at the right edge. Plain stone steps line the upper background.2015-07-31July 31 20152015-07-31July 31 20152015-07-31July 16 20112011-07-16A smiling man in a rust-red turban and saffron-orange sannyasi robes sits on a flower-covered platform beside a steel railing at a stone-stepped water tank. He wears long red and white flower garlands, rudraksha-style beaded mala necklaces with gold-toned beads, and a bangle on his wrist. Attendants in white and orange robes around him hold woven baskets and scatter petals; marigold and white chrysanthemum petals cover the platform. Another figure sits on the steps in the background. The appearance of this man is consistent with the probable Swamiji cues of turban, saffron-orange attire and rudraksha malas, and the page indicates Swamiji was present at this event, so he is labelled Swamiji (probable) in this in-person photo.2015-07-31July 31 20152015-07-31October 17 20102010-10-17A photograph of a riverside puja on a flower-strewn carpet at the water's edge. A person seated with their back to the camera wears an orange-red robe with a yellow waist cloth and marigold garlands, and raises one arm toward the river. Beside them, a silver-framed seat holds a deity murti draped in red and pink rose garlands and marigold strands. Brass vessels, a lit oil lamp, bananas, and a plate of petals and sweets sit in front. A man in white kurta and white dhoti with a bead bracelet tends the offerings. Behind them, a large crowd of devotees lines the far bank in orange and white clothing.2014-07-27Outdoor photo on a rooftop terrace beside a water tank lined with potted plants and small black lingams. A young man in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha beads stands at left holding a silver plate of flowers and offerings. Beside him a woman in a white top and maroon-and-gold sari bends over a black lingam decorated with a heap of yellow marigold garlands, coconuts and bananas. At right a woman in a red-and-yellow sari with folded hands stands by the railing.2011-12-25June 09 20092009-06-09A floral-decked wooden raft floats on a temple pool beside a large dark stone urn with gold trim and stepped red-tiered terraces behind it. An empty red-cushioned gold throne, wrapped in marigold and rose garlands, sits at the center. Around it, several people in white clothes and dhotis work on the raft: a bare-chested man in white dhoti, a man in white shirt adjusting garlands, and a woman in an orange sari and white top handling blue cloth. A woman in red blouse and white sari and another in a yellow sari stand at the edges, with a ladder rising from the water. Marigold garlands and petals cover the raft's edges and deck.2011-07-16
