March 30 20122012-03-30March 30 20122012-03-30Facade of a cream-painted building with arched wooden double doors, white pilasters and a decorative pediment with a crest, set in a landscaped courtyard. Rows of red-cushioned chairs stand empty on the left, and a red-tiled gazebo on the right holds a table draped in white where people in white clothes are working. Two or three people in white stand near the table, and a few more are visible beyond the gazebo. Tall apartment blocks rise behind the building.2012-03-30March 30 20122012-03-30March 30 20122012-03-30Outdoor scene at a gated entrance of a campus with a paved walkway, low modern building, palm trees and manicured hedges. Several people stand near the open wrought-iron gate: a man in a pink polo shirt and navy trousers with arms folded, a bare-footed man in white dhoti-style clothing, and two women on the right, one in an orange-saffron sari and one in a white sari with an orange shawl. Light grey chairs sit on the walkway. No swami is clearly identifiable in appearance, so the scene shows devotees and staff greeting an arrival.2012-03-30Outdoor welcome line on a paved driveway in front of white ashram buildings with blue-tiled roofs. Devotees in white ritual clothes stand in rows, many holding brass trays or flower offerings. A cameraman in white films at left, and a white coach bus with a printed banner stands at right. Behind the line is a decorated gateway with green banana-leaf and garland arches and a white shrine-like structure. A barefoot man in white stands in front, and another man in white with a yellow shawl stands near the bus. A large printed portrait of a woman is held up at upper left.2009-07-11A photograph of a white building with ornate curved parapets and a black rooftop light fixture, set behind dense green palm and shrub plantings. In the foreground, a man in a white short-sleeved shirt and light trousers walks away from the camera along a brick-edged garden path, carrying a long white hose or pipe. Trimmed round topiary bushes and dark-leaved plants line the path. The scene reads as an ashram or venue grounds on a bright day.2012-03-30Outdoor photo of a group of people on a paved courtyard beside a white rotunda with yellow upper walls and white columns. A cameraman in white clothes films the scene at left, holding a handheld video camera. In the centre, a woman in orange robes and a rudraksha mala speaks with a man in a white shirt and dark trousers. Another person in orange robes stands nearby with a shaved head. A man in orange on the right faces away, and several men in white and light shirts stand along the right side. Potted plants and red flowers line the foreground, with a staircase visible under the building.2010-01-23March 30 20122012-03-30Outdoor photo in a paved courtyard in front of a cream-coloured multi-storey house with balconies, brown window frames and an iron gate. In the foreground, a woman in a cream sari with orange border holds an offering, beside a young boy in a red kurta and a woman in a white and orange sari. A man in an orange-red garment films with a camera on his shoulder. Further back, a figure in a white kurta with an orange shawl stands near the gate, and a man in white shirt and trousers on the right holds a red and yellow flower garland. Several people are visible in the background near the gate.2014-07-10A photograph of a cream-coloured multi-storey house entrance with a covered porch, where a group walks out through an open gate onto a driveway decorated with white kolam designs and the word WELCOME. A man in a black shirt and jeans walks at left. Behind him, a man in a red-and-gold dhoti and shawl leads a small group. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands in the middle, and an older man in ochre saffron robes holds a microphone at right, appearing to speak. Another person in red-orange robes carries a tray with offerings at left. Banana plants and potted greenery frame the gate, and a parked car is visible at the lower right.2014-06-16
