Outdoor photograph at a gated entrance with a dark wrought-iron gate between brick pillars, palm trees and a building behind. A man in a white kurta and white trousers, with a dark beaded mala around his neck and a small badge on his chest, stands barefoot on a paved walkway with his hands folded. Beside him a woman in a bright yellow-orange sari stands with a hand near her side. A young woman in a white sari with gold border and an orange shawl stands at a table draped in white and red, holding a brass plate of flowers and fruit, with a glass bowl of offerings nearby. Another woman in a white sari with an orange shawl stands at the right, and a partly visible person in white with an orange shawl is at the far left edge. Some attendants wear white saris with orange shawls.2012-03-30Outdoor scene at a gated entrance of a campus with a paved walkway, low modern building, palm trees and manicured hedges. Several people stand near the open wrought-iron gate: a man in a pink polo shirt and navy trousers with arms folded, a bare-footed man in white dhoti-style clothing, and two women on the right, one in an orange-saffron sari and one in a white sari with an orange shawl. Light grey chairs sit on the walkway. No swami is clearly identifiable in appearance, so the scene shows devotees and staff greeting an arrival.2012-03-30Outdoor covered entrance of a white building where a line of women in saris stands on a grey tiled walkway. In the centre, a shaved-headed man in a white dhoti with gold border and a gold-bordered white shawl walks barefoot, holding a silver tray with flowers and a lamp. Beside him, women in white and purple saris hold trays of flowers and offerings. A uniformed guard stands nearby, and palm trees and glass windows are behind. Appearance is insufficient to identify the central man, so he is described only by role as a ritual participant.2011-07-13Women in white and cream sarees stand on a stone-paved garden path in front of a white colonial-style building with arched windows. A woman in a white salwar kameez with a dark rudraksha-style beaded mala talks with a woman in a cream saree with a light blue border. On the left, a woman in a cream saree with gold border and orange garland stands beside a small offering tray with flowers and fruit near a pillar. Manicured topiary bushes, palm trees and a few distant people fill the garden, and a child in yellow stands on the path.2012-03-30September 14 20092009-09-14June 20 20162016-06-20Outdoor photograph at an ashram entrance with a black iron gate and brick pillars behind a paved courtyard. A man in white ceremonial clothes stands at left with a rudraksha-style mala, facing a woman in orange sari. In the centre, a man with long dark hair and a dark beard wears saffron-orange robes and a long rudraksha mala, and carries a small brass vessel; a shirtless man in orange dhoti walks beside him with a rudraksha mala. Behind them, women in orange and yellow saris, and a man in white kurta and white dhoti, follow. On the right, a woman in a white sari with a blue border walks past, and on the left several people in white and cream saris stand with palms pressed together in greeting. Palm trees, a red-roofed gazebo and a stone statue of a figure on a pedestal frame the background, with a white vehicle parked beyond.2012-03-30A street scene outside a grey-walled compound with a wooden gate and white pillars under green trees. On the left, a man with long grey hair wears a white kurta and white dhoti and gestures toward a line of women in cream and white sarees with thin gold borders, some with red or pink borders and hair in braids. The women stand on a curb, one holding a folded paper. Passersby in everyday clothes walk along the pavement, and a cactus grows beyond the wall.
