July 26 20152015-07-26August 11 20092009-08-11A seated person in a saffron-orange garment with a rudraksha mala and a heavy gold necklace places a palm on the forehead of a bald man in white kurta with a red-and-black sacred shawl, who stands with hands folded in namaste. Behind them a woman in white sari with rudraksha mala and bindi sits on a white cloth, and other devotees in white with red shawls are seated in a room with red drapes, a brass lamp and a fan. Appearance-based candidate: the seated figure in saffron with long hair and gold necklace is a person, giving blessing to a devotee in a ritual of initiation or blessing.2015-05-09A photograph of a healing or blessing moment indoors. A woman in a white top with an orange floral shawl and gold earrings stands with eyes closed as a man in a red and gold dhoti-style garment with a golden necklace and a white forehead mark places his palm on her forehead. Behind them a second man with a moustache and dark shawl also has his hand raised to his head, and several blurred people in white clothing stand in the background.2011-11-06Outdoor darshan scene at a temple-style event with a red carpet. A long-haired person in a saffron-orange top has both hands raised, pressing them onto the head of a kneeling man in white clothes and a white shawl. Nearby, a woman in a white sari with green border and a bearded elderly man in white with spectacles and a cream shawl look on. Other devotees in white and saffron stand around, and a cameraman films the blessing. Hands of devotees are folded in the foreground, and a child is visible at lower left. The person in saffron has long dark hair and is not clearly identifiable from appearance alone.2008-12-24April 25 20142014-04-25A photograph of a darshan moment during a Nithya Dhyan Yoga convention session. A woman with dark hair pulled back, wearing a dark red garment and a rudraksha mala around her neck, leans forward and places her right hand on the forehead of an older man in a white short-sleeved shirt, his hands pressed together in namaskar. Her face bears a white tilak and she smiles. Behind them, an older woman with white hair and a woman in orange robes stand watching, and a woman in a pink and red sari stands at right. Greenery and a wooden pillar frame the setting. Appearance-based label: the woman giving blessings has a tilak and rudraksha cues, but identity is uncertain.2014-09-22September 15 20152015-09-15A seated woman in an orange saffron robe and layered beaded necklaces sits on a red velvet throne-like seat under a red and yellow canopy, while a man in a white shirt and white dhoti kneels before her, holding an object in his hands. She rests one hand on his head in a blessing gesture. Standing behind them are several men in white dhotis and women in white and cream saris, some bare-chested, on a multicoloured striped mat. A gold-framed ornate seat stands at the right edge. The setting is an outdoor tent during an initiation or blessing ritual.2017-05-10A photograph of a ritual blessing indoors in a draped setting with maroon curtains and a brass oil lamp at upper right. A figure seated at left in an orange-gold cloth with rudraksha malas and a ceremonial gold-toned necklace places a hand on the head of a bald man at right, who wears a white shirt and a red scarf with printed text and presses his palms together in reverence. A woman in white with a red bindi and beaded mala sits in the centre, and a few more people in white and red garments stand or sit in the background. The figure at left has long swept-back hair and matches the probable Swamiji cues of ornate saffron clothing and rudraksha malas, appearing in an acting role of giving blessing.2015-05-09A woman with long curly dark hair, wearing a yellow-bordered sari, places her right hand on the forehead of a man kneeling with bowed head and closed eyes. The kneeling man wears a white shirt and a red rudraksha mala with a small pendant, and has a red tilak mark on his forehead; his hands are pressed together in prayer. Behind them, several men in white kurtas and white dhotis stand in a hall, one with an orange cloth over his shoulder. A blue cabinet and a fan are visible at the right edge. The scene appears to be a blessing or energy-transmission moment at a convention.2006-07-30December 13 20112011-12-13
