A man's bare foot, with the leg wrapped in orange cloth, rests on a polished silver tray filled with white and purple flowers and red blossoms. Several pairs of hands in white garments reach in to wash or anoint the foot. The tray sits on a gold-edged crimson velvet cushion, with gold plates and a red-and-gold fabric edge visible at the sides.2009-10-18December 12 20112011-12-12Ritual setup on a striped multicoloured cloth spread over a floor beside a tiled walkway. At the top, a golden-brown coconut dressed in gold cloth and a jewelled ornamental garland sits on a metal plate with green mango leaves. Below, a round brass tray holds a garland of red roses, white flowers and yellow marigolds, with a large banana leaf to the left. A tray of pink and red petals appears at the top edge. No people are visible. The arrangement suggests preparations for a puja or abhishekam offering.2017-08-16
