2015-July-302015-07-30September 12 20152015-09-12Close-up photo of bare feet resting on a gold-and-orange silk cloth with green and gold borders. Two small gold ceremonial feet-shaped padukas or pada stands sit under the toes. The person wears a purple garment with a red and gold border edging. Only the feet and lower garment are visible, with no face shown. A ritual foot-worship (padapuja) setting is suggested by the padukas.2011-09-09June 15 20142014-06-15Close-up photograph of a pair of bare feet wearing orange rubber-strap sandals with fan-ribbed straps, standing on an ornate gold-and-brown wooden footstool covered in a deep red velvet cloth. The wearer's orange-red garment with a gold-brocade border hangs above the feet. Only the lower legs and feet are visible, so no face or full figure is shown. The feet are not identifiable as any particular person, and no a person candidate can be confirmed from appearance.2012-05-07 +1 copiesMarch 24 20182018-03-24 +1 copiesClose photograph of a seated figure's bare feet resting on an orange cushioned seat, with the figure wearing maroon and gold-bordered cloth. In the lower right, a person in a yellow garment with white ash markings on the arms pours or places something over a small metal vessel or plate laid on a red and gold brocade cloth, with yellow flower petals scattered nearby. The scene suggests a ritual offering or puja at a temple dais; a dark beaded mala hangs at the person's neck.2015-07-07A close photograph of a seated figure's bare feet resting on a low terracotta-coloured cushioned block, wrapped in a maroon cloth with a yellow border. A person in white with a grey-stained arm and hand cradles and washes or anoints the feet with a small grey dish or vessel. Bright yellow flowers and a red patterned cloth lie on the floor in the foreground. The person giving the ritual wears white sleeves and a yellow-trimmed garment, and the seated person's face is not visible. No a person candidate is identifiable from the visible features.2015-07-07Close-up photograph of a seated person's bare feet resting on an ornate silver-coloured metal platform carved with floral and scroll patterns. The person wears rust-orange cloth with a wide gold woven border. The feet are dark-skinned and the toes are visible. A patterned carpet lies beneath the platform, and the background is blurred and pale.2018-01-28Close-up photograph of a person's bare feet resting on a red velvet cushion. The person wears a rust-red garment with a wide gold zari border, and gold anklets encircle the ankles. A pink flower garland drapes at the top edge, and a patterned red and beige rug lies beneath. The frame shows only feet and lower clothing, so no face or full figure is visible.2016-10-02Close-up photo of two bare feet resting on a golden-yellow brocade cushion with a small gold-patterned square motif. The visible legs wear red-maroon cloth with a gold zari border. Behind the cushion, a striped woven mat in red, white and blue sits beside a partially visible gold-coloured object, possibly a metal lamp or vessel. The feet are slightly crossed at the ankle, with toes pressed against the cushion; only the feet and lower legs of one seated person are visible, so no face or identity cues are shown.2012-05-09 +1 copiesClose-up photograph of bare feet resting on an ornate gold-leaf footstool with carved scrollwork. The feet belong to a seated person in a leather-upholstered wooden throne-style chair, whose rust-red robe and a mustard-yellow cloth are visible; only the lower legs and torso are in frame, with hands resting on the lap. Golden lamp stands and warm lights glow in the background. The feet and robe are the main subjects, with the face and head cropped out of frame.2015-10-22 +1 copies
