A man in saffron-orange robes stands at right holding a lit oil lamp (kalasha-style lamp) in one hand and a small handbell in the other, performing a puja outdoors. Three white stone deity murtis stand on a rubble-stone base in front of a red boundary wall, with a green tree behind them under a clear blue sky. The man wears a rudraksha-style mala and a gold-coloured band on his arm, and his face is turned toward the murtis.2012-01-01January 14 20102010-01-14Outdoor photo of a devotee in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, barefoot, raising a lit oil lamp or aarti flame toward three grey stone deity statues on a rock-bordered platform in a garden. A person on the orange-walled building's roof photographs the scene with a camera. Tall green trees and a blue sky frame the orange boundary wall and red-framed window.2012-01-01Outdoors among trees and pink flowering shrubs, a figure with long dark swept-back hair, a jasmine garland and a green-and-white garland, wearing an orange-red wrap and a gold bracelet, extends an arm with a raised hand toward a large black stone deity murti seated on a dark pedestal. Two men in orange robes stand to the left, one bald and one with a rudraksha mala, watching the blessing. Behind the statue are smaller dark stone shrines and a red-and-white striped plinth. The rites suggest a blessing or prana pratishtha at a temple grounds.2012-06-03April 07 20192019-04-07October 31 20112011-10-31February 23 20072007-02-23October 07 20112011-10-07September 30 20082008-09-30A photograph of a Hindu temple worship scene. Two men in orange saffron clothing stand before a golden deity murti of Shiva Linga with a silver-and-gold shaft and a black stone base, draped in a garland of yellow, red, white and green flowers. A man in a left-side position holds a brass vessel of offerings; the central figure with long dark hair and a red-beaded mala pours or offers over the linga. Behind them, large deity figures in orange and gold garments wear crowns and gold necklaces, with a small white-robed statue and an orange turban on a pedestal in front. This appears to be abhishekam puja.2012-01-01Night-time photograph of a priest in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, bare-chested, holding a lit oil lamp in his right hand and a small vessel in his left, performing aarti before a group of grey stone deity murtis standing on a low stone platform. A tree and an orange boundary wall are behind the figures. A partially visible devotee with folded hands stands at the right edge. The priest is not shown with distinctive visible cues of the page's named subject, so his identity is not established.2011-12-17October 07 20112011-10-07
