A photograph of an outdoor procession in a village street. Women and girls in teal, magenta and purple saris and salwars carry brass pots and kalasha vessels topped with green palm fronds and white flowers, some with flower garlands in their hair. Two ceremonial umbrellas with red, yellow and multicoloured canopies and fringed borders are held aloft above the procession. A man in a saffron-orange robe and orange headwear walks in the middle of the group, with a long-haired figure in orange at his side. Older women in teal and blue saris and young children watch from the roadside, and a thatched roof and tiled houses line the background.

Outdoor village procession moving along a dirt lane between low tiled-roof houses with turquoise walls. Women in saris of orange, red, purple and green lead, several balancing brass pots or kalashas topped with yellow flower and leaf decorations. Ahead, a tall palm-frond canopy and decorated umbrellas in red, yellow and blue mark the procession. Men in white dhotis play large drums, and a cameraman films the crowd near a white wall. Spectators line the edges, some with folded hands in greeting. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible in this view.

A dense outdoor street procession in a village setting with tiled roofs, palm trees and a parked white van. Women in bright blue, teal and white saris carry brass pots and tall decorated trays heaped with flowers, fruit and green leaves under colourful fringed parasol-like canopies in red, yellow and blue. Many crowded men and boys in checked shirts, white kurtas and caps press around them, some raising hands, and a cameraman with a video camera films the crowd. Marigold garlands and yellow flowers adorn the women's hair. Scene shows a festival-style procession with offering trays, with no clearly visible a person figure.

A dense street procession in a village lane with a crowd of men, women and children pressing forward with raised arms. In the foreground a young man in a brown shirt and checked lungi looks toward the camera, and a middle-aged man in a white shirt stands at centre. On the right, several women in colourful saris carry brass pots topped with fronds and flower garlands on their heads, a ritual procession style. Above them are ornate multicoloured canopy umbrellas and a yellow-and-red decorated palanquin-style structure with flower garlands. Behind the crowd a white SUV and a tiled-roof house with festoons of flowers and banana leaves line the road. Two photographers with cameras stand at the left edge.

Outdoor welcome in a village street with a yellow school bus at left and tiled-roof houses behind. A man in an orange turban, orange sannyasi robe, and multiple flower garlands stands centrally, with a rudraksha-style necklace visible. Two women in front of him, one in a teal blouse and one in a gold-orange sari with flowers in her hair, hold a brass tray and offer it to him. Children in festive dress and women wearing jasmine garlands surround them, and a large colourful tasselled umbrella is overhead. Appearance suggests a person in a welcome ceremony, presented in orange robes with a turban and garlands, while others offer a tray.

A dusty village lane in Bidadi, Karnataka, with a procession moving past whitewashed and tiled houses under a clear sky. Drummers in white dhotis and shirts beat large drums, while a man in a white shirt and dhoti carries a basket-like drum. A figure in an orange robe and crowd of men in white and red shirts walk alongside, and women in saris of blue, purple and orange watch from doorways. A decorated umbrella with yellow and red panels and a few fringed poles rise above the crowd, with a young boy in yellow in the foreground. The scene reads as a festival procession with drum accompaniment.
