July 29 20072007-07-29Outdoor photograph on a barren, gravelly plain under a bright blue sky with scattered clouds and distant snow-capped mountains. A smiling man sits on a folding chair draped with a leopard-print cloth, wearing a bright orange turban with a decorative brooch, an orange robe and a long orange-red shawl. A long rudraksha mala hangs from his neck, and his right hand is raised in a mudra-like gesture while his left rests on his knee. Probable Swamiji (probable): long hair at the back under the turban, saffron ornate clothing, and rudraksha mala, seated as the event subject. Bare feet rest near a small stone object in the foreground.June 22 20142014-06-22 +1 copiesMarch 23 20082008-03-23A man with long swept-back dark hair and a red tilak on his forehead sits with eyes closed and palms pressed together in anjali mudra. He wears a sleeveless saffron-orange garment and a garland of red and white roses with green leaves draped over his shoulders. A microphone on a stand is at left, a carved stone deity relief stands behind him, and a gilded ornate golden chair with round finials frames the right side. The setting appears to be an outdoor temple or ashram gathering. The visible cues of long hair, saffron clothing and a rose garland are consistent with the Swamiji (probable) label from the page, but the face is not used for identification.2010-09-02Outdoor photo of a long-haired man in a white striped dhoti-style garment and shawl, wearing a thick red rose garland with white flowers and a layered gold chain with a pendant, smiling with an open-handed gesture. Beside him on the left, a man in saffron-orange robes wears a gold bead necklace and stands with a hand near his waist. Behind them, a white-clad elder with a mala, a red umbrella with tassels, bananas trees, red and blue pennants, and a white car. Appearance-based cues on the central figure (long swept-back hair, gold ornamental necklace, garlanded) are consistent with Swamiji (probable), shown in person as a garlanded guest being greeted.2009-01-01A photograph of a seated man on an ornate gold throne with red cushions and carved lion-head armrests, set against a backdrop of flowers and a large yellow flower motif. The seated man wears an orange saffron turban, orange robes, a white-and-red flower garland and a rudraksha-style necklace, and holds a trident-topped staff at his side. A standing man in orange-gold silk robes bends forward to offer something to him, with a folded orange cloth in hand. a person appearance: the seated man shows long swept-back hair, saffron turban and ornate gold throne cues, and is in a ceremonial sannyasi role receiving a devotee's offering. The image appears to be a Gurupoornima-style felicitation or bhiksha moment. Two people are visible.2008-07-17A two-panel collage of photographs. The upper panel shows a man in orange robes with a long garland of beads around his neck, standing beside a parked silver car with its door open. He receives a tray of offerings from another man in orange robes and a saffron head covering, who holds the tray with both hands. The lower panel shows a procession on a paved path lined with palm trees: a bald man in orange robes plays a small hand drum, followed by a woman in an orange sari with a garland, and then a line of men and boys in white dhotis and yellow scarves carrying long poles with decorated fabric banners. Stone statues stand at the right edge.2010-02-12Outdoor photo on a dusty open ground with young trees, bamboo poles and parked white vans in the background. Four people walk together. A central man in an orange-brown robe with a long braided rope of beads and a rudraksha mala sits beneath a bright orange parasol with beaded fringe, held by a man in white dhoti with gold border and rudraksha mala. A young man in white dhoti with gold borders and beads gestures with a raised hand. A woman in orange-brown sari with gold border and hair in a bun holds a phone. The central figure's appearance is not clearly distinctive enough to confirm a candidate identity from cues alone, so the presence of a person is treated as uncertain.2016-10-11A smiling man with swept-back dark hair sits cross-legged on an ornate silver-embossed throne-like seat against a white wall with a metal grille. He wears a rust-orange robe and a thick garland of orange and yellow marigolds with a red flower at the centre. His forehead bears yellow sandalwood paste with a red dot, and his hands are folded in his lap with a ring on one finger. He appears to be a person by the combination of long swept hair, saffron-orange clothing, a flower garland and the ornate seat, though the appearance is only partly distinctive. A single person is visible in the photo.2014-01-13A photograph of a smiling person in a maroon turban and maroon robe with gold-bordered hems, wearing a long white and red flower garland and rudraksha malas, reaching toward a copper kalasha finial on a green-covered platform, with a second robed attendant in maroon behind and a saffron flag and palm trees in the background. Outdoor ritual setting consistent with a temple consecration.2014-06-29 +2 copiesJuly 17 20082008-07-17
