Rows of brass kalasha pots wrapped in gold netting, topped with green mango leaves and white and red-tipped coconut husks, are arranged in a tiered display on a stage. Behind them, a deity murti and a seated figure in a maroon garment are adorned with long garlands of yellow marigolds, green and purple beads and white flowers. No people are clearly visible in the frame apart from the partially shown seated figure, who is seen only from the waist down with the garland-decorated area around them.2006-07-16Dense rows of brass kalasha pots wrapped in white netting cover a white cloth. Each pot has a brass rim and a coconut with a reddish-pink husk topped with green mango leaves, and the netting is dotted with red kumkum marks. The arrangement looks like ritual preparation for a homa or yagna, with the pots set out in rows across the foreground. No people are visible in the frame, though a partial figure in white clothing appears at the top edge.2006-07-16Close-up photo of rows of brass-rimmed kalasha pots, each topped with a green mango-leaf garland and a coconut with red kumkum marks, wrapped in white netted fabric with gold sparkle. No people are visible, so this shows ritual pots prepared for the Sapta Yaagam fire offerings at Salem rather than the event itself. The image is blurred and the pots fill the frame.2006-07-16A tiered pyramid of ritual pots (kalasha) arranged on red cloth-draped steps in an outdoor setting. Each brass-based pot is wrapped in white woven netting, topped with a bunch of mango leaves and a golden-brown coconut. A blue banner with a faded logo is visible at left, and the sky is pale overhead. No people are visible in the frame.2007-09-03July 16 20062006-07-16A photograph of a pyramid-stacked display of golden kalasha pots, each wrapped in white netted cord and capped with a coconut and mango leaves, arranged on a red cloth-covered platform against an overcast sky. White jasmine-like garlands hang on the upper pot. No people are visible in the scene, and the arrangement appears to be part of a ritual or festival offering.2007-09-03Photograph of a large covered hall during the Sapta Yaagam ritual setting in Salem, with rows of brass kalasha-style pots set on a wooden log base. Each pot is wrapped in woven cane basketwork, topped with brown coconut husks and green banana leaves, some with red kumkum marks, arranged for offerings. Plastic-sheeted walls, tube lights and hanging green leaf and banana garlands fill the high corrugated roof. A single person in white clothing stands at the far left near a white cloth draped table. The scene suggests a preparation area for offerings, with no clear figure of a presiding teacher visible.2006-07-16December 25 20072007-12-25December 12 20162016-12-12A photograph of a figure seated from behind in orange saffron robes with long dark hair, facing a large tiered arrangement of stacked, mesh-wrapped brass-topped pots holding green leaves and white flowers, with oil lamps and sheaves of bundled grass or fibre beside them. Fresh green mango leaves rise from the pots, and red kumkum dots mark the vessels. Bamboo stands at the left edge of the frame. The scene resembles a kalasha arrangement for a yagna.2006-07-16Photograph inside a large open pavilion of rows of prepared ritual offerings: many brass or gold-coloured kalasha-style vessels set on white cloth, each topped with green banana or betel leaves, a white tuft of material and a red tilak mark, wrapped in white mesh netting. In the foreground, a polished silver-coloured ceremonial vessel with a spout stands at left. Behind, a raised platform draped in red and white holds garlanded deity murtis decorated with marigold and multicoloured flower garlands, with a golden ornamental canopy above. Tall palm trunks, banana plants and strings of lights frame the hall. Two white-clad people are faintly visible at the far right edge.2006-07-16A photograph of a large tiered pyramid of decorated kalasha pots at an outdoor ritual setting. Each pot is a clay vessel wrapped in woven white basketwork with a gold-coloured band, topped with a coconut, green mango or betel leaves and garlanded with yellow and pink flowers. Rice is spread on the tiers between rows. Behind them a wooden stand, flower garlands draped on a low brick ledge, and a table with a striped cloth hold more offerings. A man in white dhoti with an orange shawl stands at right, and a woman in white sits at left near a blue-covered table. Pots are arranged for a puja.2008-11-11
