July 07 20152015-07-07July 07 20152015-07-07A temple shrine photograph showing a central deity murti seated on a throne-like dais, framed by a large arch of yellow marigold garlands and red-and-white striped flower garlands. The central deity figure wears a red-and-gold garment and a tall ornate crown, with a jewelled necklace, and holds a raised hand. Flanking figures stand on either side, each draped in garlands and beaded necklaces, with one wearing a red headdress and the other a tall dark cap and tiger-striped shawl. In front, a brass pot-shaped object, possibly a kalasha, sits within a green-and-white garland, surrounded by brass oil lamps, flower petals and a small brass vessel. The statues are glossy and gilded. The scene is a deity display in a temple sanctum; no living people are visible.2015-07-07A temple shrine lit at night with a Shiva lingam on a golden base at the centre, decorated with yellow and orange marigold garlands. Behind it stand two large deity murtis with crowns, one holding a staff-like weapon and dressed in red and gold, flanked by floral arches in red, pink and yellow. A figure in an orange-red robe with shaved head stands at the lingam's left, facing it, possibly performing a puja. Brass oil lamps stand on either side, and a gold ceremonial seat is visible at the lower right. The scene is a deity shrine rather than a gathering.2015-11-18A photograph of a lavishly decorated deity display inside a dark temple-like setting, with no living people visible. The central figures are a pair of painted murti statues seated side by side, one wearing a red and gold turban with a crescent ornament and the other a tall golden crown, both adorned with gold necklaces and multi-strand pearl garlands. They are surrounded by arches of marigold and rose garlands in yellow, orange, purple and red, with a kalasha-like ornament and a small figure in the lower center. Two additional standing statues flank the scene on the left and right, one in a turban and one in a red garment, each wearing garlands. Trays of offerings and a folded white cloth sit at the lower left, and a decorated palanquin-style structure appears at the lower right. Overhead hang strings of green and purple festoon decorations.2014-11-26February 19 20152015-02-19 +1 copiesJuly 07 20152015-07-07November 25 20142014-11-25July 07 20152015-07-07A temple-style shrine photographed in a hall with blue-lit stone pillars.
