A padapuja ceremony in a hotel ballroom with gold lion-headed throne armrests. A person in a red-and-gold turban with white plumes, wearing a saffron-red robe, a long yellow and blue marigold garland, and gold armbands sits on an ornate golden throne at right, smiling. Seated on the red-carpeted floor before him, devotees in red and orange robes and white dhotis and saris join palms in anjali, while a woman in a green sari and red bindi kneels at lower left. Brass plates holding oil lamps, flowers and offerings rest on the floor in front of them, and a camera on a tripod stands at left.2013-12-21A photograph of a padapuja in a hotel function room. Around him, several women and men sit on a red carpet in orange saris and white dhotis, with one woman in a green sari and gold border pressing her hands together. Brass thalis with kumkum, flowers and oil lamps sit on the floor, and a framed photo rests at the lower left. A seated figure in an orange-red turban and orange-red garment, wearing bangles and a gold pendant, extends a hand over a bowed man in a pink shirt who leans toward a silver tray of bananas, fruit and bags of offerings, with a rudraksha mala placed in a wooden box. Behind them stands a garlanded deity murti with pink and yellow marigolds. To the right, women in white and cream saris and a man in white kurta stand near a red and white floor rug, and a woman in a white top looks on. A gold lion-faced throne armrest frames the left edge. The seated figure's appearance is not sufficiently distinctive to identify, so the role is given as officiant.2014-12-03December 13 20132013-12-13December 21 20132013-12-21December 21 20132013-12-21December 14 20132013-12-14December 14 20132013-12-14May 09 20142014-05-09A photograph inside a dark-walled ritual room during a puja. Before him, a woman in a beige top and white skirt, and a man in white dhoti with a sacred thread, offer hands over brass thalis of flowers and vessels on a yellow cloth. Several other seated devotees in red and white stand behind, and hanging brass oil lamps and bells line the upper right.
