December 21 20132013-12-21December 21 20132013-12-21A smiling man sits on an ornate brown velvet throne with a gilded feather-patterned backrest, beneath a large yellow fringed Balinese-style umbrella. He wears a maroon turban with a gold brooch and white feather, a rust-orange robe edged with gold, and a long brown beaded necklace, his hands clasped in his lap. Oil lamps burn in the lower foreground, and a painted backdrop shows a Balinese temple and rice fields. The turban, saffron-toned robe, ornate necklace and throne give the appearance of Swamiji (probable) seated in a ceremonial role.2013-12-21December 21 20132013-12-21December 21 20132013-12-21May 14 20142014-05-14December 13 20132013-12-13January 16 20132013-01-16December 04 20132013-12-04December 21 20132013-12-21A seated man in a maroon robe and maroon turban with a white feather ornament sits on an ornate golden-arched throne with carved lion figures at either side. He wears a long yellow and blue garland, a gold pendant and gold bangles, and smiles while a bald attendant in white, seen from behind at the bottom edge, holds up a silver ritual lamp with multiple wicks toward him. Behind the throne is a large printed backdrop showing a temple and garden landscape, with a yellow fringed canopy above. A partly visible portrait of a smiling man in orange appears at the left edge of the backdrop. The scene reads as a deity-style ceremonial reception with arati.2013-12-21July 03 20152015-07-03 +1 copies
