Water pours over the tall cylindrical lingam from a brass kalasha held by a priest in an orange saffron garment with a rudraksha mala. Beside him, a second attendant in a white dhoti with an orange sash holds a small brass pot. Water splashes across the stone base and floor. Part of a carved stone pillar appears at the left edge and another person in white stands at the right edge. Two people are visible, the two pouring priests and the partially visible person at the right edge, so the count is 2-5.2007-10-25September 15 20142014-09-15Night photograph of a large dark grey Shiva lingam being bathed with milky liquid poured down its surface during Rudra Abhishekam. Silver bands with embossed floral patterns and a round silver disc decorate the lingam's base, and white flower garlands edge its top. Three men in ritual dress stand on a metal railed platform above it: the central man in a maroon garment with rudraksha beads holds a brass vessel and pours, the man on the left in a similar maroon garment watches, and the man on the right, bare-chested with a white dhoti and golden sash, holds a small brass cup.2014-09-15October 06 20112011-10-06Close photograph of a dark stone Shivalinga being bathed in milk during abhishekam.
