A photograph outdoors beneath palm trees and pale sky, showing a tall copper dhwaja-style pillar on a stone pedestal with a carved base. Two men in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl stand on an orange-painted platform: one, bare-chested with shaved head, grips the copper pillar while another tugs a long orange rope tied to it. Yellow-orange marigold garland drapes the pillar and red-pink petals are scattered on the platform. Several seated and standing onlookers in white and light clothing watch from the edge of the frame. The scene appears to be a ritual raising or adorning of a sacred pillar at an ashram.
