A large banyan tree with many thick hanging aerial roots and prop roots descending into reddish-brown soil. Green leaves spread at the upper right. Black hoses or cables run across the ground at the base of the trunks. A partially visible white-clad figure appears at the far right edge, and a sliver of a person is visible at the far left edge. The scene is an outdoor ashram grounds setting.2009-09-05Close photo of a potted plant seen from above, its exposed pale roots spreading in a dense tangle over the soil surface in a terracotta pot. No people are visible.2006-11-10A large old banyan tree dominates the scene, with a massive trunk and many aerial prop roots hanging and wrapping around the trunk and branches. A raised circular stone platform with a low wall surrounds the base of the tree, and red-brown earth lies beneath it. A small dark stone shrine or seat sits at the base of the trunk. To the left, a wet dark stone surface and red cushions or mats are visible near the platform. A bright green leaf enters from the upper right. No people are present.2013-07-20September 05 20092009-09-05Close-up photograph of several large, grey, smooth tree trunks and their intertwined aerial roots rising from reddish-brown earth scattered with dry fallen leaves and small stones. Green leaves sit at the top edge. Behind the tree, out of focus, are a teal-green fence or wall, a white building wall and a low reddish-brown boundary edge. No people are visible.2010-07-15September 05 20092009-09-05A photograph of a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and thick trunks forming a dense canopy over a raised white-edged platform.
