The devotee wears a white dhoti with a gold border, a red shawl printed with Sanskrit script, and has a sandalwood tilak with hands joined in namaskar. Behind them, a golden throne back and garlanded deity murti with gold ornaments and a kalasha-like tall stick form the setting. Swamiji (probable): the seated man shows long swept-back hair, distinctive adornments and red ceremonial clothing, so this is a probable Swamiji blessing a devotee.2014-12-26September 14 20142014-09-14October 26 20142014-10-26October 04 20132013-10-04A photograph of a blessing or initiation moment in a temple-style hall. A man in an orange and gold wrap, with a white forehead mark, a golden necklace and a beaded wrist band, extends his right arm and places his palm on the forehead of a man in white kurta clothing with raised hands in an offering gesture. The man in orange holds a small white paper in his left hand. Beside them a woman in white with a rudraksha mala sits in the background, and a golden deity murti or ornate golden object appears in the foreground. Behind them is a shimmering gold-patterned drape. Swamiji (probable): the man in orange wrap with golden necklace and long swept-back hair, performing the blessing.2014-01-04A seated man in a red-orange robe and a red headband with gold embroidery places his hand on the crown of another man's head during a blessing. The blessing man wears a bare-shouldered orange-red cloth, ornate orange-beaded necklaces, and has yellow-gold tilak on his forehead; a silver trident-shaped staff stands behind him beside green foliage and a folded brown cloth. The recipient kneels in a white shirt with an orange-red shawl, eyes closed, head tilted forward. A gold lion-faced object sits at the lower left, and framed artwork hangs on the wall behind. Another seated person in white is partially visible at the right edge. Setting appears to be an indoor hall with wood-panelled walls and a blue floor mat.2014-05-05A seated man in an orange-saffron dhoti with a gold-edged cloth, wearing a long rudraksha mala and a white tilak on his forehead, touches the forehead of an older man in a white kurta who kneels with palms raised. The seated man holds a small folded white paper in his left hand. Behind them, a woman in a red-orange sari with a beaded necklace stands, and other people in white stand in the background. Gold lion-head armrests frame the seated man on a red-carpeted dais. Swamiji (probable) is the seated man, identified by the rudraksha mala, saffron clothing and long swept-back hair, giving blessing to a devotee.2013-09-30April 26 20152015-04-26
