Night outdoor homa at a brick fire pit in a courtyard with stone walls and pillars. A bright fire burns in the centre. Two priests sit cross-legged at the fire: one in white dhoti with a yellow shawl, and a bald priest in white with a gold-beaded necklace and bare upper body. Around them seated children and women watch, some with hands folded. Standing onlookers in white shirts and a black tracksuit stand at the back. To the right a framed portrait garlanded with white flowers sits beside brass plates of fruit, flowers and offerings. Warm lamplight and string lights illuminate the scene.

Night photograph of a homa fire ceremony in a stone-walled courtyard. A small square brick fire pit holds a bright flame, with marigold petals scattered around it. A priest in white dhoti and shawl with a gold necklace sits cross-legged before the fire, hands folded, beside a fruit-laden offering tray and a small oil lamp. Beside him a man in a light shirt and white dhoti sits with hands clasped. Behind them a seated crowd of men, women and children watches, some in saris and salwar kameez. A standing man in a dark tracksuit stands near a grilled window, and a man in orange and white sits on a ledge at right.

Night outdoor homa at a temple courtyard. A priest in white dhoti sits cross-legged before a brick fire pit with a flame, with brass vessels and offerings nearby. A framed portrait with flower garland sits beside the fire, labelled with no readable caption. Seated devotees, many children and women in saris, surround the fire in a semicircle. Behind them, people stand near an illuminated temple doorway with a deity shrine inside.

Night outdoor puja at an ashram in front of a deity shrine with a golden backdrop showing two standing deity murtis garlanded in blue and red. A central fire pit with a stone square and kalasha offerings with coconuts and green leaves sits on a striped floor mat. A figure in orange robes with an orange turban sits on the left on a chair, and a shaved-headed priest in orange robes and bare upper body kneels at the fire pit. Around them about thirty devotees in white clothes with red sashes and orange lanyards sit with hands folded. A pillar with a lamp and a small orange-robed statue stand in the background, and a fan sits in the lower left.

Outdoor photo of a homa fire ceremony in a dirt courtyard. A fire burns in a yellow brick-lined square pit in the centre, with brass vessels and a small offering nearby. A young man in saffron-orange robes with a red cloth and beaded necklace sits cross-legged on a low wooden seat at the left, facing the fire. Around the fire sit many children in white, yellow, orange and peach clothing with hands pressed in prayer. Adults stand behind them, including a woman in an orange sari and a woman in a purple sari, and a figure in white. A red-and-yellow decorated structure appears at the upper right. Attributing the saffron robed man as a person is not supported by sufficient cues.

Outdoor night ritual in a rural compound under string lights and hanging green leaf garlands. A square yellow brick fire pit (homa kunda) with flower petals scattered around it sits on a sandy floor at the centre. Two women in white sarees with white head coverings sit at the pit, one holding an offering dish. A bearded man in white with a rudraksha mala sits beside them. Around the pit, a large crowd of seated devotees, many women in colourful saris and children, watches the ritual. On the right, a man in a white shirt sits near a brass lamp and fruit offerings on a mat. A standing man in white is at the back. No clear depiction of a person is visible.
