Indoor group yoga or meditation session on red mats in a hall with framed religious pictures on the back wall. Many participants, mostly women in white and cream kurtas, salwar and sarees, stand in a wide-legged stance with their eyes covered by white and black blindfolds, hands raised to their faces. Some wear red and orange shawls and red rudraksha-style beaded malas. Bags, orange cloths and papers lie on the floor at the front edge of the mats. No speaker or throne is clearly visible in this frame.2015-08-22December 13 20132013-12-13A photograph of a seated group of women at a Nithya Dhyan Yoga session, each wearing a white cloth blindfold tied over their eyes. Many wear white saris with gold borders, rudraksha mala necklaces of red beads, and small nameplate badges pinned to their clothing. They sit cross-legged on red mats with yellow cloths, a plastic water bottle and a patterned bag in the foreground. In the upper right, a figure in orange robes sits in the background, partly visible, and a window and wooden door frame the back wall.2014-09-20August 27 20162016-08-27June 19 20162016-06-19A photograph of a group of devotees in a bright hall seated on striped red, white and blue mats, many with white cloths tied over their eyes and arms raised high in an ecstatic gesture. Most wear white kurtas or white shawls; one woman in the foreground wears a cream embroidered jacket, another in the right foreground wears a green and orange sari, and several have rudraksha malas around their necks. Orange and yellow cloth banners hang from the ceiling and a gilded framed shrine stands in the background. The setting appears to be a satsang session with participants in a meditative posture.2010-12-17A group of blindfolded participants stands in a row at an indoor program hall, each holding small white slips of paper in their hands. Several women in front wear black eye blindfolds; the foreground woman in a white shawl over orange-patterned dress, the centre woman in a cream sari with red-orange border and rudraksha-style beaded mala, and the woman on the right in a white sari with a beaded mala. Behind them a woman in red patterned clothing and others with orange lanyards and name badges stand among gilded wall panels, with a large screen showing a figure in a green headdress. The setting suggests a blindfold reading exercise.2015-12-12December 12 20152015-12-12August 22 20152015-08-22June 17 20172017-06-17June 10 20172017-06-10A seated group of devotees in a bright hall performs a meditative practice with eyes closed and hands raised to the face, many women in white and yellow sarees and some in orange, saffron and multicolour saris, with an elderly man in white sitting in the foreground.
