May 06 20162016-05-06A seated man in saffron-orange robes and a gold bead necklace reaches forward to touch the forehead of an elderly woman in a white top with an orange shawl, who bows with palms pressed together. Behind him stands a golden throne with a carved lion-head armrest, a cobra-entwined staff topped with a gold finial, and a peacock-feather fan at left, against deep red draped curtains. The scene reads as a blessing given from a throne.2014-07-25A photograph of a stage event with a long-haired man in a rust-red dhoti-style garment, orange rudraksha beads and heavy golden bead necklaces, with a white tilak and red bindi, seated on an ornate gold chair and smiling broadly. Beside him, an elderly bearded man with white hair and glasses wears a white kurta and a yellow-gold shawl, holding the seated man's hands and something small and orange between them. A third person's hand, with gold bangles, reaches in from the left edge holding papers. Dark maroon drapes form the backdrop. The seated man shows appearance cues consistent with a person, with the rudraksha mala and golden necklaces, but the identification rests on appearance only.2013-03-26June 12 20142014-06-12A seated figure in an ornate gilded throne with a red velvet cushion touches the forehead of a man in white kurta. The seated figure wears a rust-red turban, a bare-shouldered rust and gold wrap, and long rudraksha mala beads, and has a distinctive swept appearance consistent with the page description; this is a probable Swamiji (probable) in a blessing gesture. The recipient wears a white kurta and an orange-red shawl printed with script, with hands raised in respectful reception. Behind them, a woman in white with a rudraksha mala watches, and a red curtain forms the backdrop. Darshan with blessing.2015-10-25May 11 20162016-05-11June 12 20142014-06-12May 01 20142014-05-01A seated man in a rust-red turban with a jewelled brooch, rust-red robe, white and multicoloured garland, gold armbands and bangles smiles and extends a hand to a kneeling devotee in a white shirt and white dhoti, who holds up cupped hands. The seated man sits on a red zebra-striped cushioned throne against an ornate gold throne back, with a gold lion-head ornament beside him. Behind them, a woman in an orange sari and a rudraksha mala stands among garlands and hanging fabrics. Partially visible at left, a shaved-headed man with a white tilak sits near a gold ritual vessel. The setting suggests a darshan-style ceremony with garlanded offerings and gold decor.2014-06-12A seated man in a saffron-orange wrap and leopard-print lower cloth, wearing a long pink and white rose garland with green leaves, sits on a red velvet throne with a gold lion-head armrest. He holds a folded white paper out to a kneeling devotee in a white shirt and orange shawl, whose hands are pressed together in anjali. A tall silver trident stands beside them, with a gold-toned base. Behind them a banner shows temple imagery in red and orange, and women in orange and white stand in the background. Appearance cues are ambiguous, so the seated figure's identity is uncertain.2014-05-11A seated man with long dreadlocked hair, a red-orange robe draped over one shoulder, layered beaded malas and gold necklaces, gold earrings, and red-and-gold bangles touches the forehead of a smiling woman in a white top and pearl earrings who has her hands joined in anjali.
