A photograph of a man in a white shirt and dark-rimmed glasses applying a red tilak mark to the forehead of a deity murti or statue. The murti wears a gold crown, a dense multi-strand garland of red and yellow flowers, layered gold and bead necklaces, and gold armbands. Yellow and purple chrysanthemum garlands and a bed of pink and white petals surround the figure, and a green plastic bag is visible at the lower left. The man's hands rest on the murti's face and head during the ritual anointing. The scene is a temple puja with flower decoration.2013-01-06A photograph of a seated man in saffron-orange robes receiving a long multicoloured flower garland from a bare-chested priest in white dhoti and a pink-and-gold turban. The seated man has long swept-back hair, a forehead tilak, a heavy ornate gold-and-bead necklace, rudraksha-style beads on his wrist and an armlet. The garland is of white, yellow, red, purple, pink and turquoise flowers. Behind them stands a backdrop of dense marigold, rose and white flower arrangements on a red-cushioned throne-like seat. Probable Swamiji (appearance-based, page indicates Swamiji at this event): seated in a throne-like chair, wearing saffron robes, a rudraksha-style gold necklace and long swept-back hair, receiving a garland from the priest during a satsang homa setting.2015-07-18A photograph at an indoor ritual setting with a floral backdrop of red, yellow, purple and white garlands. A man in a white shirt bends forward and holds his hands over the head of a seated figure with long dark hair, wearing a brown-orange robe and layered garlands of white jasmine and red flowers, with gold bangles on the arm. Beside them a bald priest with a white tilak on his forehead, wearing an orange shawl and gold necklace, smiles. A brass lamp hangs at the top of the frame, and a bright yellow floral arrangement fills the right side. The seated figure's identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2013-07-22A seated man with long dark hair wrapped in a high bun, wearing a rust-brown robe, a red-beaded mala and layered gold necklaces and armlets, sits on a red velvet throne cushioned with a zebra-striped cloth. Behind him stands a backdrop of marigold and rose garlands. A priest in a white dhoti with gold borders and a shawl bends forward toward him, offering something in a silver dish; the gold wall behind holds carved figures. Swamiji (probable): the seated man's long swept-back hair, rudraksha-style red mala, ornate gold necklaces and saffron-toned robe are cues for the Swamiji candidate, who is receiving an offering in a temple-style puja setting.2016-07-19July 22 20132013-07-22A seated figure on an ornate throne is being garlanded by a shirtless priest in a yellow dhoti with a green-and-gold border and a sacred thread. The throne is decorated with a large heart-shaped floral backdrop of red, yellow, white and orange flowers, flanked by silver trishula staffs and a gold lion figure. The seated figure wears a dark-red and gold garment and has a rudraksha mala and gold chain, while a second person in a shawl with bangles and a saffron cloth assists, holding the garland. Green foliage decorates the background. The scene suggests a garlanding ceremony at a throne.2015-07-16December 23 20162016-12-23December 23 20162016-12-23A seated man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands at left with both arms raised, pressing a red-and-gold cloth onto the head of a smiling man at centre-right who is draped in thick garlands of yellow, white, red and purple flowers and a long red-and-white bead mala. Behind them is a gold throne with ornate carved backrest and a silver tray holding offerings. A woman in an orange sari with gold jewellery stands beside the throne, and a shaved-headed devotee is visible at lower right. Peacock feathers and marigolds decorate the scene, and a framed photograph of a tree hangs on the wall behind. This appears to be a ceremonial honouring with garlands and a cloth presentation.2013-01-06A photograph of a seated man with long dark dreadlocks wrapped in a black turban, a red-and-ochre vertical tilak on his forehead, and a dark beard. He wears a heavy red and yellow marigold garland and a rudraksha-style bead necklace over brown-orange robes, and holds an orange fruit in one hand. Behind him a wall of yellow and red flowers and a leopard-print seat are visible. In the left foreground a shirtless man in white dhoti with a gold border bows forward, his hand on the seated man's shoulder, in a blessing gesture. The seated figure's appearance with dreadlocks, turban, rudraksha necklace and saffron clothing is a probable Swamiji (probable) cue match, presented here as an in-person candidate. Two physical people are visible.2018-04-14January 06 20132013-01-06October 11 20162016-10-11
