A temple abhishekam in progress at a KAILASA temple: a bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a yellow border, wearing a black face mask and a rudraksha mala, pours water from a golden kalasha over a large black Shiva lingam resting on a stepped black yoni peetha. Water runs off the basin onto a wet floor. Behind stand gilded deity murtis, including a seated Shiva-Parvati-type pair with flower garlands, a figure in a dark red dhoti and yellow garland, and a bearded saint statue in maroon robes. A small gold deity murti stands at left beside a gold stepped stand, and a pink cloth lies at right.2021-06-25A photo inside a temple shrine during abhishekam.
