A bare-chested priest with long dark hair, wearing a white dhoti with gold border and a face mask, pours water from a golden vessel over a large black shivalinga set in a dark stone yoni-peetha base. Behind the lingam stand golden deity murtis: a figure in a brown turban and crown with a trident, a female figure in pink and gold with jewelled necklaces, a figure in a pink sari, and a bearded sage-like figure in a brown-and-red robe with a yellow garland. Smaller gold and brass items sit in front: a standing gold figure, a gold sri yantra-like pyramid, and a brass kalasha. Red curtains and ornate gold-framed backdrops surround the altar.2021-01-03KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 1/7/20212021-01-07Photo 99232072022-10-16 +1 copiesA photograph inside a temple shrine. In the foreground, a shirtless man with long dreadlocked hair, a rudraksha mala around his neck and a white cloth at his waist, stands with his back to the camera and raises his arm toward the shrine. Before him is a central murti with a mukut, gold necklaces, a painted face and a large garland of white and yellow flowers, seated on a maroon cloth with a ceremonial sash. Behind it, a large ornate golden and jewelled arch frames two standing deity murtis: one holding a trident with a crown, one in yellow and purple garments. Two attendant statues stand at the sides, one in orange with a turban and one in red with a black beard and tiger-skin wrap, both garlanded in yellow and white. Red drapes hang in the background, and a brass oil lamp is visible at left.2020-12-19KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 2/1/20212021-02-01A shirtless priest in white and gold dhoti and a face mask pours liquid from a golden vessel over a black Shiva lingam set in a stone yoni pedestal inside a temple shrine.
