Night photo of an outdoor devotional setting decorated with strings of coloured fairy lights in red, green, blue and purple. At centre sits a figure on an ornate gold throne with a cushioned red back, wearing an orange turban and a garland of flowers, arranged as a seated image and flanked by golden trident-shaped standards. A gold ceremonial umbrella stands to the right and a brass bowl on a stand sits in front. Several seated and standing devotees in white shirts, yellow shirts and saffron-toned clothing face the throne, some wearing rudraksha malas, with a water bottle and backpack in the foreground.2023-02-05KAILASA India Na Na Na on 4/5/20222022-04-05 +1 copiesNight outdoor festival scene: a small deity murti or figure seated on an ornate gold peetha throne, draped with white and multicoloured flower garlands, with a red and gold umbrella overhead. Flanking it are gold trident-topped standards with yellow and red fringed canopies decorated with birds and flowers. A striped blue, pink and green cloth covers the platform, and red and white string lights decorate the wall behind. A seated man in a teal shirt sits at the left edge and a man in white dhoti stands near the left, with a figure in an orange cloth at the right. The figure on the throne is a statue or murti, not a physical person.2022-04-17February 06 20142014-02-06March 12 20202020-03-12January 13 20152015-01-13Indoor ritual photo under a golden-pillared open pavilion decorated with mango leaves and palm fronds. On the right, a seated figure in orange-and-saffron robes with a shaved head sits behind a flower-garlanded seated figure on an ornate golden throne under a multicoloured parasol, in a manner consistent with a guru being honoured; the figure on the throne is not confidently identifiable by appearance. A bare-chested man in a white dhoti sits on a white marble platform facing a floor arrangement of lamps, brass vessels and offerings. Three seated deity murtis with gold arches and flower garlands sit on a magenta-draped table at left, with an oil lamp in front. A woman in pink sits near the central floor ritual, and a woman in red-and-gold sari sits at lower right beside brass plates of leaves, rice and kumkum; this appears to be a puja or homa setting.2021-12-28March 31 20242024-03-31Night outdoor ceremony on a sandy ground in front of dark bamboo and a low building. At centre, a seated figure sits on an ornate gold throne with a canopy umbrella, wearing a red garland and a dark garment, with a red draped platform beneath. To the right, a line of standing young people in red, orange and white traditional clothes holds a decorated umbrella. A few attendants stand to the left in dark and orange garments, and a small fan stands near the throne. (omitted), it is not part of the description.2016-03-02Night outdoor ritual scene under a temporary bamboo and thatch canopy. A priest in white dhoti and an orange-bordered shawl stands on a raised step, reaching toward an ornately gilded shrine holding two deity murti decorated with white flower garlands and red-and-white floral strands. A bare-backed young man in an orange dhoti stands at left with his back to the camera, facing the shrine. Framed photographs of a bearded man in white head wrap and a saffron-robed figure are placed on the shrine steps and sides. A banner with Tamil text hangs at left, and a tall plant and loudspeakers flank the shrine.2008-11-11 +1 copiesApril 26 20122012-04-26November 27 20122012-11-27
