Two figures are seated, one wearing a crown and heavy jewellery and holding a hand raised in blessing. In the lower left a shaved-headed priest in white clothing leans in to tend a brass oil lamp burning with a bright flame, with a kalasha and leaves nearby. Bright red generator equipment is visible at right. A shaven-headed priest in white dhoti and shawl sits at the left, waving a white fan or chamara over the murti. Brass lamps, a flame, a brass plate and offerings of flowers sit on the altar in front. The shrine is densely garlanded with yellow, orange, white and magenta flower strands. Two bronze-coloured deity murtis stand inside, one wearing a tall crown and the other a crown and ornate gold necklaces, with a kalasha or silver-tone ornamental crown placed in front. Brass oil lamps stand at the lower corners. The flame suggests aarti being performed at a temple shrine.2007-01-01A photograph of a temple shrine in an open-sided pavilion with carved stone pillars. A man with long swept-back hair and bare chest, wearing an orange-saffron dhoti, stands at left holding a flower garland and raising a lit lamp or flame toward the deities. Behind him a man in white ritual dhoti and an orange cloth stands by. At centre, a black stone linga-like form and two metal deity figures, one crowned, are draped in white cloth and yellow and red marigold garlands, with an ornate golden arch behind them. Brass lamps, a kalasha-style vessel, plates of flowers and offerings sit on the floor in front. This appears to be an aarti or puja in progress.2006-12-29A photograph of a ceremonial puja before two gold-coloured deity murti seated on a decorated throne-like altar.
