A man sits cross-legged on a small mat on bare ground in front of white temple plinths, eyes closed and hands folded in his lap in meditation. He wears white kurta and dhoti with a green-edged border, a yellow shawl draped over his shoulders, a rudraksha-style bead necklace with a gold pendant, and a horizontal white sacred ash mark on his forehead. Ash-grey ash lies on the ground around him. A second person in white stands partly visible behind. The white plinths and whitewashed structure suggest a temple courtyard setting.2010-07-29July 19 20102010-07-19A shaved-headed man sits cross-legged on a woven mat on bare reddish earth, eyes closed, hands clasped in his lap in a meditative pose. The main figure in front wears white kurta and loose white trousers, a yellow shawl draped over his shoulders, a rudraksha mala with a small round pendant, and a red tilak on his forehead; his eyes are closed and his hands rest folded in his lap. Behind him, a second seated man in white with a yellow shawl and mala also meditates, and a third person in white is partly visible further back. Small patches of white crushed stone lie on the ground. A small purple logo appears at lower left.2010-07-10A young boy sits with eyes closed in meditation, wearing a white shirt and white dhoti with a red-bordered white shawl draped over his shoulders. He wears a white dhoti and shawl with red-bordered edges, a rudraksha mala around his neck, a silver bangle and a red bindi with white tilak on his forehead. Three horizontal white ash lines mark his upper arm and shoulder, and his hands rest folded in his lap. Behind him are frangipani trees with white flowers and dense green foliage. The man is a devotee or priest; no a person appearance cues are visible.2010-09-14A shaved-headed man in white dhoti and shawl with red border sits cross-legged on a woven mat on bare ground, eyes closed, hands clasped in his lap in meditation. He wears a rudraksha mala, a bangle and a white vertical forehead mark with a red dot, and white stripes are painted on his shoulder and arms. Green grass is behind him. The shaved head, plain white ritual clothes and lack of distinctive a person cues mean the appearance does not qualify as a person candidate, so he is described only by role as a devotee practising meditation.2010-09-14July 20 20102010-07-20July 20 20102010-07-20A photograph of three men sitting cross-legged in meditation on bare ground at an outdoor ashram setting with palm trees and a low white wall behind them. The central man in the foreground wears white dhoti and shirt with a yellow shawl draped over his shoulders, a red tilak on his forehead, and has his hands folded in his lap with eyes closed. Two men behind him, also in white with yellow shawls, sit within circular rings of white ash or burnt material on the ground. A white bucket sits near the right side, and woven bamboo fencing lines the background.2010-07-05July 20 20102010-07-20August 29 20142014-08-29
