A photograph of a night-time crowd of devotees at a Girivalam walk around Arunachala in Tiruvannamalai. In the centre, a man wears a saffron-orange turban and saffron robe with a long rudraksha mala, a red tilak on his forehead, and his hands folded in front of him. Two men flank him: on the left, a man in a white shirt with an orange shawl and rudraksha mala; on the right, a younger man in white with an orange shawl and a tilak. Behind them, more devotees in orange and white stand in the dim light. A probable Swamiji appearance is noted in the central figure, whose saffron turban, robe and rudraksha cues are distinctive.2008-01-02Outdoor photo of four men on a paved courtyard in front of a white building with barred windows, a small white relief figure above the door and green foliage with pink flowers behind. The central man has long, swept-back dark hair, a tilak mark on his forehead and wears a flowing saffron-orange robe; he gestures with one hand while speaking. Behind him a bald man in white dhoti-style clothing smiles. To the right, a smiling man in a white kurta holds a rudraksha mala and a small book, with an orange shawl over his shoulder.2010-02-04June 19 20082008-06-19A photograph of three men outdoors beside a thatched structure. The man on the left has a red-orange tilak on his forehead and smiles while touching the arm of the man beside him. The middle man wears a white shawl over his white garments and a red cord around his neck, smiling broadly. The man on the right has a red bindi on his forehead, a steady expression, and an orange shawl over white clothing. The visible scene shows three physical people.2006-09-23Outdoor photograph in bright daylight with a clear sky and a tree at left. Three men stand close together in conversation. The man at left wears a cream embroidered kurta with a long necklace of gold bells and an orange shawl, and a gold bead chain at his collar. The man at right, in a white kurta with an orange shawl and a brown rudraksha mala, has a tilak mark on his forehead and is smiling as he speaks; another man's hand reaches toward the left figure's gold bell garland. A person in a flowing orange robe sits cross-legged on a low dark platform, smiling, one hand raised near the ear. Behind and beside them stand three men in white kurta-style clothing: one in white with an orange shawl, one older man with a white moustache and a rudraksha mala, and one in white with a lanyard and badge. The orange-robed seated figure has long dark hair pulled back and bare feet, and appears to be a sannyasi-style presenter rather than a verifiable identity, so the a person field is left unsure.2008-06-22Outdoor photo of a procession-like gathering under an overcast sky with a string of triangular white and blue pennant flags behind.
