A homa fire ritual in a temple hall. A bright flame burns in a square fire pit with a yellow-painted raised rim, in the foreground. A man with his back to the camera, wearing white with a rudraksha mala, faces the fire. Along the left, several men in white dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas sit cross-legged, some holding brass plates of grain and offerings, one with arms extended. A man in white with a white forehead mark and a mala stands at the right, and a figure in saffron/orange cloth with a red turban stands beyond him near a golden ornamental stand. Microphones stand beside the fire pit and a tripod-mounted camera is visible behind. Around 8 to 12 people are visible.

A night-time homa at a wooden fire pit with a large, bright flame. A man in a white dhoti with a green turban pours offerings from a steel bowl into the fire. Around him, priests in white and orange-red cloths wear rudraksha malas, and one bald priest has a white tilak on his forehead. A green-clad figure stands at the right edge, and brass offerings and a plantain leaf sit nearby. No one is clearly identified as a person by appearance cues.

A night-time homa at an ashram. Four priests sit behind a large yellow-painted square fire pit filled with ash. Priests on the left wear white dhotis and rudraksha malas with white forehead markings; the seated priest in the centre wears saffron-orange robes and a saffron-orange shawl and tends the fire with a bowl. The priest on the right wears white with a red-and-pink headpiece and holds a flower and a silver vessel. Silver pots and fruit sit on the floor, and seated devotees in white fill the background. Hanging colourful ceremonial banners frame the scene.

Photograph of a homa fire ritual in a dim hall. A square brick fire pit with bright flames sits on a yellow-painted platform in the foreground. A figure seen from behind, with dark hair, white cloth and a rudraksha mala, sits before the fire facing it, with a microphone on a stand beside. Behind the fire, a man in an orange saffron wrap, rudraksha mala and red turban pours or offers items from a brass plate, while a man in white dhoti with white forehead marks sits beside him. Brass vessels, a kalasha pot, flower garlands and oil lamps are scattered on the floor, and more seated devotees in white and red are visible in the background.
