At the centre a deity murti wears a gold crown and a garland of yellow marigolds, dressed in a teal-blue cloth. In front, a priest in orange-red ritual cloth performs aarti with a flame and offering plates on a low platform. Several devotees in white and orange shawls stand with hands joined in prayer, and an elderly bald man in the foreground watches from the crowd. Several people are visible, and no figure is clearly identifiable as a person.2010-11-18A photograph of a night-time puja at a shrine. In the centre, a deity murti sits on a decorated platform, heavily garlanded with bright orange and red flowers and draped with greenery. A man in a saffron-orange robe and an ornate silver crown stands at the left, holding a brass ritual implement toward the murti. Behind him, a man in white and another person sit, and a seated man at right in a light shirt presses his palms together in prayer. String lights hang above the scene.2010-11-22Photo 11684235November 09 20102010-11-09 +2 copies
