Outdoor community work scene at a garden plot with young palm saplings. A man in a dark green t-shirt and white dhoti, with a red-and-white cloth around his neck, digs soil with a long-handled hoe. Nearby, several people in white clothes and a woman in a red sari and an orange sari bend over, placing red brick edging around the bed. A boy in an orange shirt stands at left, and a row of people in white garments works in the background beside a metal railing and palms.2017-02-05Outdoor photograph on a dry, sandy construction site under a pale blue sky with coconut palms behind. Several people are digging and carrying earth: in the centre, a woman in a white sari-style outfit bends over a pit, and to the right two monastic-looking women in orange robes crouch and dig with tools while another in orange kneels beside them. Others in white and cream clothes, including an older man in white on the right and a woman in a white and pink sari on the left, stand or stoop around the excavation, which is piled with reddish soil. A large terracotta pot and a white pipe lie among the work area.2006-12-09March 22 20082008-03-22A photograph of people digging trenches in dry reddish-brown soil under a clear blue sky with coconut palms behind them. In the foreground a woman in a white top and dark skirt swings a flat-bladed digging tool, while beside her a woman in orange clothes with an orange shawl bends forward using a hoe. To the right, a man in an orange dhoti and orange shawl stands by the trench, and at the far right another man in a maroon shirt and jeans works. Further back, other workers in white and red clothing dig in the pit, and a woman in a red sari watches from the left. The scene shows volunteers constructing a temple foundation.2006-12-09September 11 20162016-09-11Photo 11710584A group of about a dozen men and boys digs a sandy pit on a dirt ground in front of a red-brick building with a green corrugated roof and a tall flagpole with a red flag. Several in saffron/orange robes, including a shaved-headed man in the left foreground with an orange shawl, and others in white dhotis and shirts, use spades and shovels to turn soil. Piles of broken stone, bricks and timber lie to the left, with palm trees and buildings behind. The scene reflects groundwork for temple construction at the ashram. No figure can be confidently identified as a person from appearance; the shaved-headed man in orange is a priest or devotee.2006-11-20A photograph of a construction or groundbreaking work site with reddish-brown excavated soil and palm trees behind. A woman in a white dress digs with a pickaxe, smiling, while a young man in saffron-orange robes with a matching orange cloth draped over his shoulder shovels earth beside a concrete pillar. Another person in orange and a woman in white work nearby. Several people in white and orange stand in the background, and a partly visible worker is at the left edge. The scene suggests temple foundation construction.2006-12-09February 05 20172017-02-05 +1 copiesSeptember 11 20162016-09-11September 11 20162016-09-11September 11 20162016-09-11
