Outdoor photograph on a dry, sandy construction site under a pale blue sky with coconut palms behind. Several people are digging and carrying earth: in the centre, a woman in a white sari-style outfit bends over a pit, and to the right two monastic-looking women in orange robes crouch and dig with tools while another in orange kneels beside them. Others in white and cream clothes, including an older man in white on the right and a woman in a white and pink sari on the left, stand or stoop around the excavation, which is piled with reddish soil. A large terracotta pot and a white pipe lie among the work area.
