A woman on the right in a rust-orange sari with a gold border and a dark rudraksha mala wears small hoop earrings and holds a red and gold brocade tray piled with folded white cloths. A person in an orange-saffron robe with a long red-and-white garland with blue beads reaches in from the left to take them. Behind them is a large golden figure, possibly a deity murti or ornate peetha, and a microphone stand is visible above. The scene suggests a puja or offering of cloths.2016-01-31November 28 20152015-11-28July 22 20132013-07-22September 05 20152015-09-05July 22 20132013-07-22September 05 20152015-09-05July 31 20152015-07-31Close photograph of a ritual exchange. A man in a white shirt and a second man in red garments lean in at left. The foreground hand, wearing a black and red braided sacred thread on the wrist, passes a folded white cloth or offering to the other person. A seated figure in red robes rests a hand on a golden seat or cushion at right, and the background is softly blurred warm brown and gold.2016-07-02A kneeling man in a white shirt and white dhoti, with short grey-flecked hair and a stubbled beard, extends cupped hands toward a seated figure on a gold-trimmed red throne. The seated figure wears an orange-saffron shawl draped over bare shoulders, a long swept-back black hair style, a white horizontal tilak on the forehead and a dark rudraksha mala with a gold-toned necklace. The seated figure hands a small white object into the man's palms. Standing behind them are devotees in white, including a man in a white dhoti with a gold border and a saffron-trimmed chain, with hands folded. Gold-framed red cushions and a dark-brown wooden floor complete the setting. Probable Swamiji is seated on the throne, identified by the saffron shawl, swept-back hair, rudraksha mala and gold ornaments, receiving the devotee's kneeling offering.2012-05-14 +1 copiesA photograph of a seated figure in orange-saffron robes with a rudraksha mala and a wrap, positioned on an ornate gilded throne with golden lion-head armrests. He extends his hand over a silver tray held by a man in a white shirt with an orange-red shawl and a rudraksha mala. A silver trident-like staff stands beside the throne, and garlands of marigolds hang above. Red cloth covers the floor and a fan and potted plants are in the background. The appearance of the seated figure with long swept-back hair, saffron robe and rudraksha mala is a probable match for the Swamiji candidate, shown receiving an offering on a tray. Another man in white stands behind.2014-10-28
