Night ritual in a temple-style hall with orange walls. Two priests in white dhotis, one bare-chested with sacred thread, stand at a central altar decorated with a gold arch, colourful draped cloth, garlands and a deity murti. A small fire pit with flames sits on a flower-strewn platform, with brass vessels, a kalasha and offerings nearby. On the right, a figure in orange robes with long hair sits with hands folded on a red throne-like chair, appearing to be in an appearance-based candidate role for the leader, but the identity is uncertain. Several devotees sit cross-legged on the floor in the foreground, some with hands folded in prayer, wearing red, pink, white and orange clothing. A fan stands near the seated figure, and statues flank the back wall.2013-07-19July 19 20132013-07-19A night ritual in a temple-style hall with orange-painted walls. At centre stands an ornate deity murti decorated with a garland-framed arch, flower strands and a shrine of marigold garlands. In front, a fire burns in a raised offering platform surrounded by flowers and brass vessels. Several shirtless priests in white dhotis and orange/saffron cloths attend the fire and ritual items, one holding a vessel. Seated devotees in white clothes and orange shawls, mostly women, sit on the floor facing the shrine, with one child standing at left. On the right, a seated figure in orange robes sits on a raised seat near drums and a bell-shaped instrument; a shaved-headed man in orange sits beside him.2013-07-19July 04 20132013-07-04Photo 11740854July 19 20132013-07-19August 09 20152015-08-09July 19 20132013-07-19February 07 20162016-02-07Night-time homa ritual under a open-sided canopy strung with small coloured fairy lights. A priest in a red-and-white dhoti pours or sprinkles flowers toward the fire while several white-clad priests with microphones stand behind him. Seated on a raised golden throne with a red cushion at right is a figure in orange-saffron robes with a white flower garland, who appears to be a person presiding over the ritual. Devotees in white garments and orange shawls sit in the foreground before trays of fruit, flowers and offerings.2017-04-28July 09 20132013-07-09Night outdoor ritual in a open-sided pavilion with a yellow-and-white canopy and hanging decorative lamps.
