A night ritual in a temple-style hall with orange-painted walls. At centre stands an ornate deity murti decorated with a garland-framed arch, flower strands and a shrine of marigold garlands. In front, a fire burns in a raised offering platform surrounded by flowers and brass vessels. Several shirtless priests in white dhotis and orange/saffron cloths attend the fire and ritual items, one holding a vessel. Seated devotees in white clothes and orange shawls, mostly women, sit on the floor facing the shrine, with one child standing at left. On the right, a seated figure in orange robes sits on a raised seat near drums and a bell-shaped instrument; a shaved-headed man in orange sits beside him.2013-07-19August 31 20152015-08-31Evening homa at an open-air ashram hall with a red-and-white stepped platform. A fire burns in a metal pit before a decorated deity murti framed by a gold arch and garlands, with a small kalasha nearby. Two priests in white dhotis stand at the platform, one bare-chested, one with a sacred thread. Seated on a red throne at the right, a figure in saffron-orange robes receives the ritual, with a white-clad figure beside him. Rows of devotees in white clothes and red shawls sit on mats in the foreground, many with children, while women in saris watch from the right.2013-07-19Photo 11740854July 19 20132013-07-19February 16 20162016-02-16 +1 copiesFebruary 07 20162016-02-07July 09 20132013-07-09July 19 20132013-07-19September 30 20132013-09-30July 19 20132013-07-19A photo inside a hall with a seated audience facing a decorated altar.
