Low-angle photograph looking up at a tall copper-coloured ceremonial pole against a deep blue dusk sky with a pale crescent moon at right. The pole is wrapped in bands of ornate copper rings and carries a hanging cluster of carved copper finials with tufts of fibre, and a red cloth streamer flutters from its side. A ropes-and-pulley arrangement runs along the pole, and a finial is visible at lower left. No people are visible in the scene.

A tall copper-coloured ceremonial pole or flagstaff rises against a pale blue sky with wispy clouds. Its top holds a tiered wooden-looking structure with small hanging bells and a pair of tall pointed finials, with dark feathery plumes at the upper corners, and a red cloth streamer flutters from the shaft. Green leaves appear at the lower left and a small spire top is visible at the bottom edge. No people are visible.

A tall bronze-toned ceremonial pole or flagstaff rises against a clear blue evening sky, framed by the dark fronds of a coconut palm at the top of the image. A small orange saffron flag or pennant flutters from the pole beneath a carved finial, and a pale crescent moon is visible near the middle of the sky. No people are visible in the scene.

A tall copper flagstaff, or dhwajastambha, rises against a pale blue sky with wispy clouds. Its polished copper shaft is banded with rope-like ridges and tapers toward a tiered top with ornate finials, a small red cloth hanging from the upper section, and a guy rope running down its length. A black tent or canopy roof edge and a copper finial appear at the lower right, and a tree edge shows at the lower left. No people are visible.

A tall ornate temple flagstaff, the dwajastambha, rises against a pale blue sky. Its wooden tiered platforms are decorated with small hanging bells, a golden animal figure perches on the top tier, and copper finials crown the top. A saffron-orange flag with a circular emblem flutters from its side, and a thin cable runs down the pole. The flagstaff's base is a carved copper-clad pillar. No people are visible, and the flag and pole suggest a dwajarohanam flag-hoisting setting.
