Outdoor procession under a canopy with fringed tassels in red, orange, white, teal and purple, with a silver trident carried at left. A central figure in an orange saffron garment wears a thick garland of red beads, white flowers and yellow blossoms, and holds hands together in anjali near the chest, appearing to be a ritual guest of honour. Beside him, a man with silver-grey hair wears a white dhoti-style cloth with an orange shawl and a red tilak. A man in white with a yellow shawl holds a canopy pole, and another man in orange holds a brass aarti plate with a small lamp. Devotees in orange and white stand around, and palm trees and a thatched hut appear in the background. At centre, a man in saffron robes and an orange turban stands with palms pressed together in greeting, wearing a long garland of pink and white flowers and a rudraksha mala; he has long dark hair and a short beard. Around him, men in white kurta-style clothes and orange shoulder scarves walk closely, one at left wearing a rudraksha mala and another beside him with a long beard. Several helpers in white and orange surround the procession, one wearing a small badge on his shirt. The Swamiji candidate is distinguished by saffron robes, turban, garland and rudraksha cues, and appearance supports the label Swamiji (probable) as the central figure in the procession.2007-01-12Outdoor procession under palm trees with a group of men in saffron-orange robes walking on sandy ground. In the foreground, a man on the left holds a gold-tipped trident-topped staff, and another on the right holds a tall gold staff. At the centre, a man wearing a brown-and-gold turban, a white-and-red flower garland and multiple gold necklaces walks in a saffron dhoti and orange shawl, carrying a bright orange cloth. Other attendants in saffron, cream and white clothes and rudraksha-style gold beads surround him, with tents and onlookers behind.2008-12-27April 19 20082008-04-19
